On this maiden voyage realizing the need for a phone holder. Gimmie your suggestion and any other info would be great. Best place to attach, suction cup mount etc. Thanks in advance.
Cell Phone Holder

My news effort for a cell phone holder is the ram mount setup I made that mounts to the post on the dash. I put a 2" magnet on the mount and a 2" magnet on the back of my Otter Box Defender IPhone case. Sticks in place great.

I have a holster on my seatbelt/shoulder strap. It cushions the strap and provides a holder for my cell phone. I don’t use the cell phone while the sling is in motion.

RAM... suction cup, in-between center console and gauge cluster.

I use the mob armor magnetic mount and I have the installed on the center console by my right leg in front of the shifter - I tried using a mount on the center post, but in the direct sun I felt the the phone got way too hot
This is the mount I use - magnetic phone mount
I will post a pic from my phone in my next post
-
Here you can see the mount both with phone and with only the plate- one other thing I like about this is that in this location there are no issues with glaring from the sun hitting it

I Keep mine in the pouch on my belt - too hard to flip it open and use it while driving.
But I do keep an Ipod for music on the center post with one of those magnet things

actually in an attempt at full disclosure I almost never actually use my phone mount. I am an Apple Watch user and I find using it for navigation is preferable to the phone - - I find it hard to hear the turn aleart from the phone and I don't like having to look at the phone to see when the next turn is coming up. with the watch it gives me a tap on the wrist when its time to turn and its easy to glance at the watch face to see how far to the next turn and if it will be right or left
Don't really use the phone for anything else when in the slingshot especially since removing the pedal commander never actually call anyone from in the slingshot and couldn't hear them if I did

I use an old cell phone as a camera and have it mounted in a 3-point cell phone holder mounted to a Ram Arm with a Ram Ball mounted to the windshield brace. Here's links to waht I used -
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007I77GZ0/ - Medium length Ram Arm, originally held to the side of the brace using some long screws, fender washers and Nylock nuts. Re-positioned the Arm to the rear of the brace using a 1" Ram Ball with a a short screw stud and nut. Sorry, no link.
Here's the 3-point cell phone mount - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071V64DZ6/. Depending on where your cell phone has its lens(es), the mount may need some mods to clear the lens position.

I use my phone for navigation for music streaming while traveling. I used my watch some yesterday but maps streams thru the ride command so hearing it is no issue.

Don't use the cell phone but a GPS... Small piece of plastic bolted to center post with second velcroid to it to keep things flat and than use suction cup holder. Mine is set up for a toll pass and GPS. I thought I had a picture here...missed, so here we'll try again.

If you add RAM balls to your windshield center brace you can attach multiple different things including a cell phone.
-
The ram might take exception to that...

Take a look at the DDM center post - it has many more mounting options https://www.ddmworks.com/Windshield-Mounts-_c_461.html

What is the white attachment? Some reason my brain keeps saying solar panel.

Ah! Never seen one of those. Guess that's why they mail me the tickets once I make it back home to Tennessee.
