I know I'm getting bored when I start looking for things to paint on the SS. Especially little things... LOL

Always
Final product came out good! me know if you want some of the bulb molding we use on our intake to dress the top of your box, happy to send some over to you.
Thank you Dave, that would be very nice. Be a much better finished look and probably more functional.

Very good job and keep up the good work!!
Stay safe and keep Riding, and hope to catch up with you sometime soon??
Yep, looking for those warm days during the winter months but haven't seen them yet really. I think the weatherman said there is a warming trend coming so I'm on the lookout.

Seems to work ok.
-
Finally finished. Added rubber to cover up the edges. Makes a more pleasing look too.

My Michelin's are wearing like iron and evenly, front and rear. And talk about sticky in the mountains. I'll replace these when wore out with more Michelins.

You are doing a Good Job!!! Keep up the Good Works !!
Naw, that was a prototype because I need to clean the looks up some. I'm sure it would work as intended but I can't put something like that on my SS, even under the hood... LOL

Something is Not Working or else it's being Censored???

January is a great time to ride here in my neck of the woods - was 77 degrees today and they say we will even hit 80 this Friday - - - - I’ve never bee to Tennessee in January, but I was in the Nashville area in February of 2009 and it was damn cold! Icicles hanging from the overpasses on the highway, not even close to what I would call nice riding weather
It was 50 and sunny yesterday and I hadn't been out riding for over 2 weeks because of rain and temperatures not getting out of the 30's so rode enough to warm up the old girl and get it partially out of my system. 77 would be nice but if I've got to ride in California to find those temps, I'll pass. LOL

LOL, got up to 50 at 1pm and I decided to get it out of my system. Been too wet or too cold to ride. Today was perfect.

I have the factory "cold air" intake but was thinking about modifying it with a box like the aftermarket ones have. Still working on it but here it is in the preprocess. Got to add other side to box, clean it up and paint.

Put the heat shield back on this morning. It wasn't on the slingmods video. I had to modify it a little but it shouldn't hurt anything. In fact it should be better.

I’m an hour from ya with the spring puller if ya need it…….oh crap too late
Thank you but I've wrestled with exhaust springs before and have a couple of spring pullers. Not a lot of room to get the job done but I managed. LOL. As for the ty-raps, I knew about the use of them for that but I just couldn't see the ty-rap not breaking and me busting my hand on something... Got it done anyway. Thanks to all.

Installed the muffler this morning. I think at an idle it's a bit quieter than my stock muffler. The tone is definitely deeper and nicer. Hope to get out on the road tomorrow for a quick ride to see how much more noise it makes. So far it's just what I wanted. Whew... what a bitch getting the springs off the old one and getting them on the new one. I said some bad words... LOL

Almost 300 miles today. Dayton TN, to Vonore across the dragon, down to Robbinsville, across the Cherohala, took 68 south out of Tellco Plains to Copperhill where we stopped for a cold one at Buck Bald Brewing, then back through Cleveland to Dayton.. Got up to 67, awesome weather.

Well you haven’t met me yet I’ll have it detailed before I put it in its trailer and still be up before you lmao
never happened

Yes there is a cost to attend the rally, but you have an opportunity to meet lots of the guys you converse with on the forum....
LOL, yes and that cost is pretty high. I used to go to a rally every year when I was on two wheels. It was a great place to meet those you talk to, like you said. Three days paid motel, riding, vendors, banquet and swag... 1/5th the cost of the Maggie Valley trip. As I said I'm actually about 3hrs east of Maggie Valley and can be there before the rest of you late sleepers ever get up... LOL
