Having so much fun, I have never heard any of that. If you want quite, by a car.

Did you come from the Motorcycle community or the Limo community? A 1968 Porsche 914 with the top off almost as much wind noise as the Slingshot and I loved the 914. 6 years and 97,000 miles of SMILES I don't hear noise and at a moderate setting I can hear the music at 70mph.

I love it , playing my music cruising in it, hell the only noise that bothered me, happened the other day (blown clutch), now that noise you dont want to hear, the rest , I welcome it , it only means i have some seat time....i know you better not buy a Top for it then if the rattling bothers you lol

What Noise?

I do not believe that we are currently experiencing any of these behaviors that you have described? However, for us to help you it would be helpful if you would advise the year and model of your machine as well as elaborating on the specific noises in which you are referring to? Are you saying that these are all new noises that have developed since you did your test ride before purchasing your SlingShot? As a starting point to finding solutions, if you utilize the search function of this forum you may find where others have experienced specific situations over time and have already shared their solutions for each.
I hope that this has been helpful?

I wear ear plugs...Radio is never on..... 2015 model. Upgraded exhaust is adding to the noise....I’m not wearing an actual motorcycle helmet. I’m wearing a cut out bicycle helmet.....so I get lots of wind noise.....most of the time it sounds like a bucket full of rocks bouncing around.
I’m sure it’s adding to my significant hearing loss..... -
Been riding bikes since I was 5, I’m 53. Raced for bout 7yrs. I’d say motorcycle Community

I have been riding since May, of 1964, noise is not something that I even worry about.
-
I've been riding over 40 yrs and have trained my ears to pick up noise to worry about & noise not to worry about......with the slingshot that experience with my ears comes into play.......you have to learn what is noise to worry about and noise not to worry about .........because if you dont it will drive you crazy & youll be selling it

On the rare occasion that I go without a helmet (a quick dash to the gas station before a ride) I would hear a tinny rattle up front. Drove me nuts!
I think I finally tracked it down. GREMLINS!! Actually, gremlin bells. I have two of them (if one is good, well . . . . ) hanging off the front suspension on wires.
I don't know if they scare off gremlins, but they bug the hell out of me!

Riding an air/oil cooled desmo twin with a dry clutch cured me of worrying about operational "noise" ....
When it didn't sound like a spoon in a garbage disposal was when I had to worry ......

Just my 2 cents... Some helmets amplify sounds in some frequencies. I've got 5 different helmets, including a Polaris carbon fiber helmet. The best helmet for noise has been my Schuberth C1, but even with that helmet I find foam earplugs helpful.

Maybe we should all send you a bell or two.... At least you have some idea of what is driving you nuts.

Try a pair of these, they work great!

When I had a Honda NT700, I bought 50 (or 100 . . . I forget which) of the orange ear plugs on eBay. The little Honda was a great bike, but had a NOISY engine.
The corollary to "Ignorance is bliss", is "What you don't hear doesn't bother you."

That corollary applies to marriage also...
