Added the heat shielding on the passenger side....

Not everything is Torx screws....

No grease needed in the rear (sealed bearings, I believe)....

Different (better) hood bumpers, from what I can tell....

That was one of the first mods I was considering, based on comments on this forum. However, the 2016.5 has a shield on the muffler, and insulation on the passenger footwell, and my wife says it's quite sufficient.

Troy from Alpha installed the radiator shroud on my SS at SSITS I can honestly say it helps the drivers side foot roast immensely!!!

the .5 has the full airflow management kit including the radiator shroud, muffler heat shield and some foam plugs. Since it'll run about 300 bucks or better to put that into a straight 16, you're at about a break even.

not on the early 2016.5..... maybe they used up old inventory..... My dealer put the new ones on mine, unsolicited.

my 2015 had the self stick, thin, reflective insulation on the passenger side firewall, where it curves (not talking about the flat back firewall.) This was not on my 2016.5, although the stuff on the flat rear wall was still there. I guess they figured it was a cost/weight savings, since it has the muffler shield.

Got ours from cycle springs for 90$ then I installed the kit on ours myself and after a week of solid daylight to almost dark riding at ssits it is well worth the time and money! Also did a couple other little tricks that helps too....

Sealed bearings in the rear axle assembly? I don't think so...at least not on the pulley side. If this is true it's the first I've heard of it.

Driveshaft Yoke does not need greasing.

@KayTwo I wish I were wrong a sealed rear axle bearing would be a very welcomed improvement.

Looking through the, "Periodic Maintenance Chart", for the 2016.5 SS, "Control Cables", are listed as, "Lubricate as directed", nothing else is listed.

I installed the MadStad Stinger roof on my new, 2016.5 pearl white. Mfg date 2/22/16. The very first thing I did was remove both cupholders, as I was going to grease the crud out of the rear. There is no zerk. I was thinking-what the heck?? Double checked with the service Manager at the dealership, and he confirmed- yes it is sealed- no more greasing. Personally, I would prefer to grease..........Guaranteed- there is no greasing on my unit!

Here are pictures of the heat shield I had installed on mine, they are from Polaris. It makes a big difference according to my wife.

Plus that shielding runs the length underneath on the passenger side transmission tunnel.
