Try rolling to a stop in neutral without the clutch pushed in. Some folks have had bad clutch switches causing this symptom.
The Sling is acting weird....

Is it the first time it has ever done this? Is it running good during all other conditions?
Sounds like the typical rev drop you get during certain driving conditions to me...
mine does it often....never been a problem

The slingshot does not have a fuel/fume recovery system. Released as a motorcycle, it circumvents the EPA requirement for automobiles.
The are two tubes that hang down and exit to the right of the battery and left of the swingarm. One tube is a fuel overflow should you spill fuel into the collar of the filling neck. The other is a fuel tank vent. If the vent tube were to become blocked, kinked, pinched, a vacuum in the tank could occur. Engine shutdown, and at worst, tank collasp, or pump failure could occur.Because @D.W.Slusher is only experiencing a stumble on stops, tank vacuum is not the problem.
In California it does..

So I took the sling out for a couple hours tonight and avoided downshifting and it didn’t bog down at all. I also checked and that vacuum line is capped. I guess I’ll try downshifting next time I’m out and see what happens.

California makes laws for the entire world..just ask them...idiots..run the asylum ..

When did California become the EPA???
NO...I draw line at two...more than that and they start to connect once in a while.

This. Mine did this for about the first 5000 miles. Took it in and they replaced the clutch switch and that cured the problem.

Mines done this since day one..........

What year are these bad clutch switches? Mine (2018) has 80 miles on it so far and I took it out for a spin today with no issues with idling. Of course mine is brand new so I just want to give some standard to compare to. -
Went out again this morning and problem still there when downshifting. Mine is a 17 for whoever was asking.

Mine does it all the time. It actually died only once that I remember. I assumed it was just another "Polaris" thing and always ignore it.

So how do you simulate this? I want to try this weekend.

One thing to always check if your Slingshot is acting weird is the vacuum cap underneath the throttle body on the intake manifold. There is a nipple that has a cap on it and it sometimes will work its way loose. Usually on boosted setups, but I have seen this happen on a NA setup too.
If you see a nipple with no cap, you have a problem. On the below picture, the left side of my far bottom right blue hose is going to where that nipple is on the stock Slingshot. It is capped when stock.
Doubt this is the issue, but it is a quick thing to check and to zip tie so it doesn't fall off at a later time.
In this picture, can someone please tell me where I can get that hard intake pipe after the connector? The stock one is definitely robbing the engine of power from the rubber being expanded due to heat.

All I do is normal downshifting to a stop and it happens.

What happens when you just put it in neutral and come to a stop (which is what I normally do.)?

It’s fine when I don’t downshift. I’ve always downshifted without issue.

So you downshift with each gear until 1st gear? At some point you have to stick it in neutral or the vehicle will shut off. So are you saying, as your 1st gear rpms are coming down, your SS cuts off before you reach the idle rpm? Please excuse my descriptive questions. I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly.
