Welcome to the party. Texas needs another sling in the group. Put Kerrville down for April. It is a hoot and you can meet some 100 or so slingshot owners.

Hey, you're in my zip code! I'm near Barker Cypress and Spring Cypress, I drive a black one with red accents... if you ever need any help with those mods, let me know! I'm great at drinking beers and telling others what to do. Not sure if you're on Facebook, but we have an awesome local group on there. (Lookup Slingshot Houston or HTown SS Riders) We're doing a Poker Run ride to Lake Charles on October 14th. I run the http://www.slinglife.net website... Feel free to call me if you ever want to ride with someone, we get together quite often! 832-309-1531

Since you are in Houston, might I recommend the Madstad blade windshield sir? It is the best warm weather windshield. However if you like the look of a different one better, you could add wind wings to the edges for about $100 to direct air into the cabin.
Just enjoy making it your own. Between that, this group of folks and well, riding it you will have a blast.
P.S. If you have a chance to demo different height windshields, do it. You may think you will be fine looking through it and decide you prefer looking over it.

@Storm Thanks, I will definitely give you a shout.
@WOLF thanks for the tip. I ordered a top from @Ruptured Duck. Looking at a windshield from @kev in Canada if it will work with the top.
