yes... this is not at all Slingshot related and why I'm posting here.
My Sister-in-law has a 2003 Mercedes SL500 with 40,000 miles. Car looks great but has some "nickel and dime" stuff going on.
This car has air ride and the rear drivers side has developed a slow leak. Parked for a week and rear sits cockaboobied! (An Indiana term for crooked)
Start it up, push a bottom and car raises back up.
Took to Dealer and he wants $2500 to replace the shock plus install labor! (No... he did not look for a problem)
Questions:
1. Can these 4 be replaced with non-air shocks?
2. Could it be a leak in the supply line fitting?
3. Any other suggestions out there?
She does not want to spend a lot of money but worried about a possible catastrophic failure.
