  • As stated:

"it is exactly Trumps Ego that drives all his decisions. His Ego drives his desire to be a very clear winner. His Ego would have him do anything necessary to "WIN BIG". Heck, his Ego won't even let him call any missed mark anything except "The Best, The Greatest, The Biggest...". He is "The Biggest" Narcissist and "The Greatest" at narcissism, he most surely will cheat to win. He will do The Best cheating, Trust Me."

Personally I think it's about time we have a president that wants to win. A hard driving personality like that is what this county needs. It seems that for many years our leaders have taken the attitude. I'll give you 10 dollars if you give me two. Then I'll call it a win because I just made two bucks. There are many world leaders that will (and are) jumping at every opportunity to bring America down.

For years our country has been throwing money and resources into countries only to be taken advantage of. Our cities need help, our people need help. Fine to work with other countries but if were going to use our recourses it must be performance based. No results, no money, no more!

  • WOLF - let’s say Biden wins the presidency - the Reps win the House and lose the Senate. From your point of view - should the Reps begin impeachment proceedings on Inauguration Day??

They should launch an investigation now since the question is out there now. It would look very bad for them if they waited for him to get in office. Biden made that public statement while the Republicans held the House and the Senate.

Why didn't Republicans do anything then?

They knew Biden's son was working for Burisma when they held the House and Senate.

Why didn't they do anything then?

That all being said, YES, if they wait yet another year and then decide to start an impeachment investigation, they should go for it. It will be hard to prove he did it as President, but I'm sure they will find a way to turn back time.;)

  • If you need something interesting to do during the impeachment show try this.

    1. Download the Mueller report in pdf.

    2. Use the search function and search for "Comey".

    The results may surprise you.

What? Watch/listen to the Battle Creek Michigan Christmas Rally . Duh.

He does a great job of working the crowd. I was almost chanting "Trump, Trump" in my truck. He gave a feel good speech. Lots of funny zingers.

  • Wolf,

I never knew you have met with Trump. You have listed Trump’s many faults, as perceived by you. I don’t like the perception I have of Trump, but I can understand that so much of what I have seen has been “cherry picked” by the media. And I don’t trust the media any more than I do Hillary.

The only fact is the verbatim transcript of the phone call. Many people are saying that they know what Trump meant. We all know the he asked for a favor. For what purpose, is only known by Trump. When he was asked what he wanted he stated “nothing”. For anyone to say they know what he wanted is GUESSING. Yourself included.
Anything said by Rudy is on Rudy. That is why we use others to work for us.
I don’t know what was meant by “the favor”, but if both people in the conversation say it was now pressure, who are you to say it was?

Anything said by Rudy should be on Rudy, generally. However, did you hear our outspoken President ever say, "Rudy misrepresented my intentions" "lying Rudy!"? No, you did not. Those that listened did hear/see at least 5 witnesses say, and Trump say on the call was, "Speak to Rudy". Then 5 witnesses said, "Rudy said that the President wants aid withheld until he gets an ANNOUNCEMENT of /an investigation into the Biden's and Burisma and he gets a promise to look into 2016 Ukranian election interference"

Trump did say, "I want nothing, no quid pro quo", according to a witness. That witness(Sondland) also testified that Trump said it over a call, AFTER Trump knew about the whistle blower complaint. The whistle blower complaint that coincidentally used the phrase, "quid pro quo". Yes you heard Trump repeat and affirm on the White House lawn that he said that to Sondland, shortly after Sondland testified to it.

You see, if you, like myself listened to or watched the ENTIRE investigation testimonies on C-Span, while avoiding outside News and pundits, you may have caught all that. Then you would know I wouldn't have to have "met with Trump" to know what he meant.

You say you, "don't trust the media". I would agree that they ALL distort, embellish, omit FACTS. "ALL" includes FOX, which is also "the media". The media can do those things, they do however, by law, have to correct themselves when they happen to make a completely false statement. That is why myself, as a person that listens to and watches both sides news and pundits, decided to only watch or listen to C-Span during the investigation.

Also, News and Pundits are two different animals. Pundits will tell straight up lies and call them facts. They will have you believe all kinds of disproved conspiracies. They will pull statistics out of their asses on a daily basis to push a narrative. Pundits can repeat lies over and over again with no law that makes them announce a correction. Be very careful what you believe from a Pundit. You need to fact check them, especially any salacious "facts" pundits talk about. ;)

I listed some of Trumps "MANY" faults. Trumps EGO and Narcissism are infamous throughout the world as are MANY of his other faults. They are not perceptions, they are in your face, blatant, chronic, inescapable facts.:)

  • Love him or hate him Trump is a fighter and to the best of his ability will take no prisoners. He is showing the Republicans how to do it and hopefully they’re paying attention. Never once did I envision him as being president however I’ve been praying for a long time for someone, anyone to get in the game.

Make no mistake about it this presidency and this time will go down in history as a formidable moment. For better or worse we will be able to say we were there.

At the end of the day what would you rather? A bombastic egotistical flamboyant president that gets phenomenal results that are incredibly positive for every American or people that have promised you everything for 50 years and have only delivered policies of servitude and domination over your freedoms?

I don’t care to be friends with Donald Trump but I’m damn glad he’s our president right now!

We’ll get there when we get there and not a minute before. 😎

  • My bad - silly me. I didn't read the entire constitution (well, the Democrats version of it). Grounds for impeachment included Treason, Bribery, and high crimes or misdemeanors. The Democrats have now added an addendum to read ,,,,,,, or our interpretations of ANY Presidential thoughts, dreams, or goals - now or anytime in the future. The bar has been set so low now that unless a new Amendment to the constitution gets written to specify that only "existing crimes that actually would be a chargeable felony had the offender not been a seating President, it's going to now be just another case of political bull shit where the paty in control of the House can vote to impeach the President if that office is held by any other political party. If ever there's a casue for a revolution my friends, we are quickly sinking into that level of government

    Nobody gets outta here ALIVE

  • Pelosi wants a fair trial? She should have started in the House. If it was fair and even, the White House would have sent in the people and documents that were asked for. Oh wait, then she would not have been able to impeach Trump. I get it now!

    YLM. Your Life Matters

  • She's been going along for 3 years and she hasn't made a decision yet???

A little bit of political gamesmanship on Pelosi's part.

McConnell has stated he won't bring USMCA to a vote until impeachment is done.

Pelosi holds impeachment back and gets USMCA passed then sends it first.

If McConnell takes up USMCA first he's a liar. If he holds it during impeachment he's delaying USMCA from being law.

from what I read the USMCA is expected to get through the House today and then be sent to the Senate

as such it would seem that McConnell is waiting on Nancy for it as well as the impeachment

Edit: wouldnt you know - just 20 minutes after I posted this breaking news - The House passes USMAC

I guess now we will see what happens in the Senate

  • Wondering if there are any other independents on here and if they see this thing the same as I do. I'll preface this with the fact that there are parts of each party (republican, democrat, and libertarian) platforms that I can get behind and other parts that I cannot, but generally I'm probably more right leaning than left. I fully believe that President Trump wanted the Ukrainian Government to announce they were investigating the Biden's actions during the President Obama's term in office to use against Joe Biden in his campaign efforts. I have no doubt that any politician would do the same if they felt it would help their campaign. I do not think asking someone to announce something that hurts your political foe makes you a foreign agent for that country. My gut says this is a two birds with one stone situation and can imagine that if I was President and I could do something that supported my foreign policy agenda and helped my campaign at the same time that would be a win-win. My gut also says that President Trump would have never actually pursued an investigation on Joe Biden based on the fact that he has not initiated any investigations into the Hillary Clinton campaign actions other than his bravado in speeches which excites his political supporters, but does no real damage to her or other democratic leaders. It appears to me that he does things to win the political game and actually doesn't want to hurt his opponents (to use a football analogy he wants to hit them hard enough to make them fumble the ball, but doesn't want them taken off on a stretcher).

I understand that nothing at that level of business, politics, etc is black and white and that people that operate in the gray spectrum at that level will seek to gain every advantage available to them as long as it doesn't cross too far over a line. I fully believe that the President Obama administration crossed that line and used the power of the FBI and DOJ to launch an investigation into the Trump campaign and the personnel associated with it to prevent him from winning the election. Their actions have done serious damage to the lives, reputations, and finances of innocent American Citizens in that quest. To the best of my memory the investigation into the Trump campaign has uncovered illegal acts by some, but none were linked to direct campaign actions or involved being an agent for a foreign government. The others that got found out for their extracurricular activities that crossed the legal lines deserve what they got, but it still worries me that they weren't investigated for those actions prior to joining the campaign effort. I am afraid of where this might go in the future when allegiance to the political party is more important than allegiance to the nation and the lines that those people are willing to cross moves more and more to the extreme.

When I compare those two actions of the Obama and Trump Administrations it looks like President Trump asking the leader of another country to do something that is based on fact (Biden's actions were suspect by any measure of analysis) and helps his campaign efforts pales in comparison to the Obama administration conducting investigations on American Citizens that it appears they knew were innocent of the charges to further their political agendas.

There is very little an innocent citizen can do when facing the might, power, and resources of the US Government. From my viewpoint the worst that the Ukrainian announcement would have done would have been that Joe Biden doesn't win the nomination and goes back to what ever he was doing the day before he announced he was going to run for President. He likely would not be facing a prison sentence, living with a damaged reputation, or experiencing long term financial ruin. I really believe that what the Trump administration did was not very significant in terms of what seems to go on behind the scenes at the national level of political campaigning everyday.

While I believe it was wrong for President Trump to mix his presidential duties and his campaign actions, I am not naive enough to think it is the first time that things like this have happened in Washington DC at that level of governance. The fact that the Obama Administration leveraged the FBI and DOJ against the Trump campaign and that prominent democrat leaders were working towards impeachment as soon as Trump completed the inauguration ceremony makes it hard for me to believe that impeachment was the proper action in this case and not a continuation of using significant Government capabilities (FBI, DOJ, Congressional Impeachment) as political tools against your opposing party. I have hoped that the moderates from the democratic party would learn from the President Clinton impeachment and not pursue that as a course of action if it was a purely partisan act. I believe this whole situation has further eroded the standards of working with people with views different than yours that allowed for the civil governance of the nation by the elected officials from the political parties. I am very afraid that they have set a new standard for how the parties will deal with each other from now on.

  • Well said, and I believe this impeachment will do little to persuade party alignment with the exception of independents. I think the Democrat's know full well in the end there is no chance of the President loosing power. My guess they will drag this on as long as possible to keep it in the back of voters minds and media exposure.

My thoughts are it will back-fire. We'll see.

  • It is so rare when I can to say I am truly proud of any politician, but McConnell served the party and the people well with this morning's speech.

BTW- did anyone else take his comments as a veiled threat to Nancy and her Dems:

    (paraphrased)

'what would be an unprecedented constitutional crisis would be if the Senate hands the House a new bi-partisan vote of no confidence'

(this comment was made about 25 1/2 minutes into his speech. Went back to youtube of the entire speech to make sure I heard it correctly the first time)

  • Welcome to the discussion Will Stewart !! I Think you sound like a centrist whom will decide 2020 election. Nobody on the left is budging and I along with the rest of his base has been entrenched in Trump’s camp since 2015 and could never pull the lever on any of the socialist Dems running. I agree whole heartedly with your assessment. What has happened with impeachment - no matter where you stand - will further divide and more than likely spiral political discourse downward further than it already has. For the record Trump is not doing himself any favors with the Dingle comment IMO. If he could just keep comments to himself like that he could spin his impeachment into a Rep landslide. WE’LL SE WHAT HAPPENS :00008172:

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • Even though there is NO joy taken by either party in this horse and pony show, it's almost comical now hearing the Democrats crying that they won't get a fair trial in the Senate! Gee, isn't that what the republicans said about the charges being brought in the House? It sure makes you want to send the all to bed without dinner and stay in their rooms until they can play fair
