About to start working on the beast on the lift

Rab I was trying to compliment your ride and willingness to tear your Sling apart many, many times. Since the beginning I have not seen anyone AS motivated as you, besides @Painter. Many have bursts of motivation, tackle a project then go silent for at least a month. I can't remember a time that your Sling was together for a month.

Here is my problem.
oh yes I totally see it now. Your Dorito intake catch-can is full of Taco flavored instead of the Cool Ranch. Obviously your upgrading to Cool Ranch to boost your cold air intake and causing you to gain another 17.9 horsepower per cubic centimeter of Doritos

Soooo, what could a Slinger do to their Sling that you won't in quick order put them back in second place? Tallest lightning rod?
Maximum firepower. I got that covered.
-
@rabtech looks great. Question: Would you be willing to let any other Slinger be number one in any category?
Horsepower, when @MACAWS one-upped you, you went and had more done to put you back at the top.
Stereo, as others come close or pass you, boom, you tear yours apart and add bigger amp and more speakers.
Recently @V-SHOT just posted how lit up his Sling is and you add more lights.
Paint is more subjective, but you did that many times and very top notch job there as well.

If that's the case, I'll take one for the troops and have ONE testicle removed

I know you were. I appreciate the compliment. But I was serious about me being fat and lazy.
I have had my Slingshot apart a few times...
But I have her back together all shiny and clean.. I'm ready for a full year of riding now.....

Here is my problem.
I see the problem NO Spicy Salsa
I got a gallon here - bring the chips and all your wiring -
I have been told I look like that Andrew Zimmerman guy on that nasty food show.
Yeah... I can see that...
Kevin too maybe... -

and no Sprinkles either?

and no Sprinkles either?
Nope. No sprinkles. It's hard to stay on a diet with all the events coming up in the next couple of months.

It's 2:30am and I'm headed back out to the garage to wipe the SS down and get my toolbag gathered up. Today is my last day to get my stuff done and packed before heading out to Panama City for Bike Week....Can't wait......

he also got a prototype top that he quickly modified so I'm sure it is also far better than anyone's future production top....

I am working on the top right now.

let me know how it does during bike week....
The general look and function is the same so if anyone ask tell them production is coming soon. I'm still stressing about the left-right mirror mounts. I only have mine for development and the way it's designed it reveled that mine is 3/4" off left to right dictating two different A-Arm lengths. What if mine is just another crappy SlingShot build quality issue? What if I have all these 20 arms made wrong? Hope the dealer will let me take some mirrors off some of their SS this morning -
Every time I move one thing I get off about an inch on the back latch. Then I moved it up and outward. Now I have to figure out the gas lift. I'm trying to hurry and that does not lend itself to great work.....
-
I have found new way to use the lift and it is awesome. I can get to my frame rails now...
The safety catches on the 1st cleat...

im knee deep in fixture jigs at the moment. The hope is that the tops will be delivered with only minor adjustments needed. Everything should be pre-set. 1/16" up front can equal as much as 3/4" at the rear. That's the hard part about this design.
-
I am completley finished with her now... I even put my black fuel line on.... It is probably best for me to work on the top when I get back from Panama City. I have 3 weeks till Maggie Valley when I get back and all I have to do is work on the top and the gas charged lift...
I can handle that....

Looks great brother.
Enjoy Panama City - wish I could have made this one -
