And I have yet to get to Sonic!!!
I could give a shit about corn dogs, take 'em or leave 'em, but you gotta go south and try a Sonic burger. When you come see us in Greenville, we'll get you up to speed.

Ok - ya got me - what is a Cozy Dog - I'd hate to think I might expire and never have one
Yes, you have to try one from the original formula. Essentially it is almost the same thing as a corn dog. A corn meal based batter that is a little different than most but the big difference is how they cook them. Corn dogs are thrown in oil and cooked floating on top. You have to turn them to get both sides cooked. A cozy dog is clipped into a holder by the stick and submerged in the hot oil. It cooks quicker and more even.
Cozy Dog Drive In is famous. They have been featured on at least 3 different food channel network shows including the "Top 10 Best Hot Dogs in America". I have lunch there once a week for over 40 years. It isn't uncommon to stop in there and see 20 motorcycles or street rods on a cruise across the country. Or a group or Europeans or Asian's visiting the US. And it is one of the historic Route 66 landmarks. If you ever make it up this way, stop in. Just let me know your coming and I will meet you there.
@WingShot can vouch for them to.
Corn dogs are good with just about anything on them.
They're even better by the dozen with a milkshake chaser
ER....HUH....he said "milkshake chaser"

I never knew corn dogs had periods. I thought you had to add the ketchup yourself!
And in sad local news, Skip Fletcher, the Corny dog King, passed on.

Who hasn't had a Fletcher's State Fair Corn Dog! It's worth the trip to Dallas for one.
I have NEVER had a Corn Dog!
I'm sorry, but I had to give a thumbs down on that one!
