@Mateo I'm probably 5-6 miles away from you if you want to see an Alpha SC installed and go for a little ride...
Y'all going to Slingshots in the Texas Hill Country? You will get a chance to see pretty much everything there.

Sadly not going to make it to the close one this year. I might be able to swing just the weekend for the Invasion, but not the entire week. We are planning for the Rockies currently.
@Texas T yes I would like to see that! I appreciate the offer. I plan on getting the SS out in Tuesday, supposed to be mid 70°'s. Going to be a great day!
@DKF Texas yes I will be going to Texas Hill Country in April. Excited to go. I've been told to bring lots of Bourbon, Cigars, and a pocket full of money... Sounds like a good time

That is a hell of an offer, sir. Love this family!
I have also followed the recommendations from DDM with the oil cooler and coolant re-route. Totally agree, good gas always!
@rabtech I am going to have to disagree slightly with your statement that turbos and superchargers carry the same risk factor.
Even if both systems are set up to only produce 8 psi the turbo has many outside factors acting on it that can contribute to over boost conditions. Along with the possibilities of over boost on a turbo there is the heat factor which is one of the main reasons we see so many blown up engines.
If something goes wrong with your exhaust and or wastegait on a turbo you will have problems and I will sight @Wrenchmn on this subject.
With the SC there is no way to over boost the engine as the pulley determines boost.
With the SC there is less heat and less restriction on the exhaust. Also there is no wastegait with a SC so less points of failure.
For all intents and purposes our kit was designed to run on the stock exhaust. * at a safe power level.
Side by Side turbo vs supercharger the supercharger is safer, simpler, and easier to own and operate.
I love turbos ( in the right application ) don't get me wrong. And I am not here to say " buy our DDMWorks SC kit because it is the end all be all of the boosted world " but I just want everyone who may not know the facts to know the facts.
The slingshot works very well with our sc kit and, going by the statistics we have seen here at our shop, the rotrex sc kit is the safest way to boost your slingshot.
Not to mention the amount of time, testing, tuning, and developing that has gone into our rotrex kit.
As Dave likes to say " We may be late to the party but we bring the best beer "
We've heard from several Slingshot Turbo owners who have had major engine issues. Has anyone had a major engine failure on a Slingshot with a Supercharger?

We have not had any engine failures on our production rotrex supercharger kit.

OK. You just did the one thing that will bring bad luck. You better spit on your windshield and draw an X with your finger and knock on wood while turning in a counter clockwise direction by hopping on one foot while holding a male chickens private parts.

I do that every morning before I come to work.

Working on it, having trouble finding a rooster but I guess any cock-L-do
Display MoreBasically my numbers are legit. And they are real. But they were made by throwing the dice and saying "go for it".
I do not recommend , endorse, or think anyone should be shooting for those numbers with the stock ECU and stock fuel pump.
I could have never ran at that level on a safe basis. It would have leaned out and popped.
However,,,,,, It is my belief if you can throw a football 200 yards one time. You can always say you threw the ball 200 yards...
Mine throws it 200 yards every time... seated in a chair, half asleep
