wow guys.... just wow. The support is unreal.
Here is how I'm going to start off ...
(1) have a simple product I can produce and sell to help raise money.
(2) 100% profits will be used to help kick off the buisness. Ok maybe 90% because one thing I have always told myself that if I was ever able to do something like this 10% would be given back in some way. If I start from the begining than it will always be part of the buisness.Believe it or not I have been contacted by a well respected vendor here that has offered to help if needed. Going to get in touch and see if I can outsource the CAD work I need done. That's (3).
Those are the first steps. 3 are small enough to manage and to not get overwhelmed.
As for the top itself. Will be making a final frame using standardized 7/8" 1" pipe used in the boating industry. Allows for a LOT of needed components to be sourced rather than designed. Then one more canvas made.
The next steps will be sourcing manufacturing for the tube frame and mounting plates. All have been designed as simple as possible. Only fixture needed will be to weld a left mounting arm and a right mounting arm. Again no special parts just what side they are welded to. Even the upright tube bars are simple one plane bend. No compound bends are used. Believe it or not that was the hardest part to workout.Sorry... the simple product is something @Nemesis1701 has been testing. Have a final sample to send him that fixed his suggestion.

@sideseatdriver. Read 3 entries up. She's coming together. Before you know it, you'll have to decide between a new gun or a new top for Christmas.

Go to production! Go to production! Go to production! Share the love!
Just teasing, I know it's still taking time... But very interested (along with many others)
-
thanks... just needed to give some idea of headroom for you guys. It's at one of the lower settings. I'm 5-10 so you can see where my helmet sits.
-
So, you are 5'10, and it looks like you have a solid 4 - 5 inches of height yet, correct?
Plus, you have it set to a "low setting" meaning there is room to raise it?
Oh damn, I am getting excited here, lol

more like 2.5", maybe 3" but it will depend a lot on how you sit in the seat. I'll stick to my original 95% fitment goal.

The banker in the family says she is really interested in this top for her sling. I have a Bullet on mine and really like the low profile and side coverage of yours.
-
is the top gonna show up at the Ozark run Sept 16?
-
That sounds like a great idea RD. Come on out to the Ozarks and we could spend a day hitting the trails in the Jeep.

That's easy -- the top wins. You already said we had enough guns...

@scootertrash and @Slingrazor I'm not going to be able to make it, sorry.
Currently my day job is in its busiest time leading up to our big trade show (SEMA). What little time I have is at Road Atlanta for the Petit LeMans at the end if the month. Wife and I celebrate our anniversary there each year. Best wife ever!
