Hey, gang, been on the forum a week or so learning, and contributing a little (mostly questions and snarky comments), but I hadn't posted here yet. This is a great group, I'm really appreciative of the knowledge and cameradery. If any of you get down Hampton Roads way, be sure to let me know. Home cooked meal on us.
Anyway, I wanted to say hi, and show off what finally followed me home tonight. The wife and I have a babysitter, taking it out for the first hundred miles or so on the odometer. Looking forward to it.
@KayTwo congrats, glad you joined us. How did you find this forum?

Two places. Saw a reference to it on the dark side forum, and it's showing up in Google searches now.

Congrats!!! I just went to my dealership the other day and they had one of those Blue Slings outside. Really liked the blue in the sunlight.....the metal flake really sets it off!!!
Sitting in the cockpit, with the blue all around you, it really grows on you. And the blue accent lights on the floorboard at night are a nice touch.

Congratulations!!!!! Be safe and enjoy.
Thanks! First hundred miles down, have to baby it (or so they say) for the first 500, plus my better half was riding along, so....yeah, we were safe-ish. But loads of fun regardless. I swear, I think I saw some people break their own necks trying to snap around for a look. And those are just the ones I saw...my wife saw a bunch more, and she was laughing all night.

I did see that, one of the first things I looked at on the forum. Unfortunately, between the demands on my time from the Navy and two very Daddy-centric toddlers, I'm not going to make this one. I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for future events, though.

@KayTwo are you a climber?
@DKF Texas, I've been called a lot of things, but "climber" isn't one of them.
The KayTwo reference goes back to my childhood when my dad was a cop back home in Maine. It was a private joke at the PD, and he put it on the license plate of his 82 Ford Granada station wagon, which got passed down to me. I loved that car...long painful story there. Anyway, I chose it as my handle here because it's a bit obscure, and can't be traced back to my real life very easily. I figured it was smarter than "sailorboy" or "gun nut".....lol.
