  • I wanted to thank you for taking the time to talk with me in Las Vegas. I enjoyed talking with you about your machine and all the work that went into it. As soon as the weather gets better in Iowa, I will get some more miles on mine. Take care

  • Paul -- Great to meet you in Vail. I enjoyed our talk and wish you the best. Represent our Slings out in the real world.
    Thanks again, Kirk

    • It was a pleasure Kirk. I look forward to talking with you again so until then ride hard and be safe!

  • You will really like the Welter rear exhaust.Well you weather must be warmer than NJ and laying on your back to install exhaust..
I had to jack up transmission and getting 4 bolts off transmission took the most time. And the rear bolt back by battery they supplied , get
1/2" longer one and makes it easier to mount bushing and bracket with longer bolt.
The 2 transmission bolts supplied to mine were to long and either 3 washers or use shorter bolts if Jeff hasn't changed them.
I sent him the things I needed to do for installing.
I would try and find a lift , makes it so easy and you can see what you are doing. If not then try and lift as high as possible ramps and jack would help.
Wish you well on your purchase.. I take it yours is Turbo ?? I know I waiting 4 months for my system. Good Luck..Joe

    • Thanks Joe. Definitely going to get it as high as possible. I've ordered and waiting on Alpha S/C. Jeff told me mount was the toughest part so will get my sling up today and see what I have to do. Welter supposed to be here Wednesday so want to be ready to install. Cold here too as I live at 6800 foot elevation but will do this in garage with heater.

  • Greetings! Just became aware of this site and was invited by Tripod to join you. I'm a old fogey living up in the hills in Arizona driving a red SL and loving it.
