Anyone know how I can get a new button for my turn signal? 2016

It wouldn't surprise me that they sell the entire mulitfunction switch as an assembly. The days or replacing small parts is a concept that almost all manufacturers have forgotten. It keeps their number of skus down

IIRC, some folks have reported the Turn Signal/Cruise Control stalk might be from a Volvo, but I don't remember seeing any confirmation.

Did you check reeeeeallllyyyy Well under the seat??😉 (wouldn’t that be nice!)

The Volvo model has a slightly different layout. It was tested back in the earlier Slingshot days and not everything worked (cruise control if I remember correctly). It's definitely made by the same manufacturer though.

I just bought a new turn signal lever and clock spring...haven’t installed them yet.....cruise control only works when it wants to....and I still have to buy a steering wheel puller.
-
@Bigdog.....you need to replace the complete turn signal/cruise control assembly. This happened to mine some years ago. It's very easy to replace the assembly without removing the steering wheel. Takes less than 1 hour total. Once you remove the lower plastic steering column cover, you will see how the assembly can be removed from the column. It's surprisingly easy.
Update....I found a small write-up I did when I changed mine....here's the link to that thread:

my clock spring is broken so I do need to take off the steering wheel to do that install...

Figuring that it absolutely had to be in there I removed the seat. No Luck. I heard that the Volvo one doesn't work either. I never really use the cruise anyway so it will probably get fixed a some electrical tape.

I heard way back in 2015 or so that the turn/cruise control was a gm part. Don't know what the part number is but it may give you a better idea where to find one.

they look the same and the price is only $10 difference....so why not buy the Polaris one...
FYI....anytime I need a part....I search the polaris part number like this.....GM (insert polaris part number here) especially for motor parts.... it’s a GM motor.

Back in 2015 unfortunately people thought all the parts were GM made. The Slingshot is a mashup of manufacturing. The stalk is made by the same manufacturer as the Volvo unit mentioned before, but has a Slingshot specific button layout. This is one of those parts like the brake rotors/calipers that are Slingshot only.

I have heard of several Slingshots that was totaled on this site and other places. Is there not a place to buy used parts some where?

DJohnson , I tried three people who were selling parts from them. Two never recontacted me and one wanted $100 plus shipping. Ended up getting it from cheapcycleparts.com for $143 total new.
Isn't it great how people try to rip you off. If you got it for 143 retail I would think a used one would be 60 or less.

I’m not keen on buying used electronics.....most places won’t even let you return them...if you bought it from them brand new...
