This happens a lot on Amazon. Once the seller sees there is a limited market that wants a product badly, they raise the price. These sellers aren't interested in long term customers, only immediate profits. Amazon works similar to EBay, Target, Sam's, Costco, etc. they allow vendors to sell on their sites and don't totally control the pricing. Keep checking the sites and stores. It will show up for less. DKF Texas found it at Walmart.

Hello Mim, We contacted the MFG of this toy and they said they only sell them as a bundle set.. which includes other "non slingshot" related Ninja Turtle toys . With that information we decided to pass on this one. I'm sure they'll continue to be available on ebay and amazon from various toy merchants!
