Okay, I'm looking to put in 4-Point Harnesses in my SS, I have PRP Seats with the pass-through hole. What I want to do, I want to be able to stow them behind the seats when not needing them, and then run the shoulder straps through the pass-through and click into something that would be secured to the roll-bar mounting bolts. Has anybody done something like this and if so, what did you use and where did you get the parts.

Check with @TheRock he had a nice set up that was removable
Just don't remember where he posted it -

That's how I do mine, Just make sure the harness that you purchase don't have the shoulder strap sewn into the belt strap or you cant separate them to pull back through the seat back opening. There are a few out there like mine where the shoulder straps lock into the belt clip. It takes a little longer (seconds) snapping them all together but the trade off is worth it to me.

I don't believe I have seen that type of setup. Where did you get the seat belt mounting bar (not sure what it is called)?

@SlingLow... Could your nephew... Maybe... Make something similar that could also work with the luggage rack (when needed)...
If not, I understand, but then maybe just lower price point?
Just asking...

Probably so - but the issue of product liability will always come up when dealing with seatbelts. Let's see how it goes for Polaris with the seatbelt retractors that have grenaded in a couple of accidents I've heard about. They're a billion dollar company and it can be absorbed. Any attachment point above the rear deck was not part of the original engineering that also supports the roll hoops in a rollover accident - a potential double whammy for any failure. 200 bucks might be cheap - or really expensive.

Yep... Liability is a good point @SlingLow... Disclaimer including "...not liable..." along with "for off-road use only"...
Liability is on my mind this week. I just bought an umbrella policy to cover my underinsuredness (is that a word professor?). A boy scout contacted me last week to ask if he could cut firewood on my tree farm (timber, not xmas trees, and undeveloped land that is not insured) as a fundraiser. I'm not comfortable with a 14 year-old dropping trees or even running a chainsaw on my property without coverage; not even swinging an axe to split it. The possibility of injury is too great. You can have Mom and Dad sign a waiver, like if you have a trampoline or swimming pool in your backyard, but can still get sued if there is an 'event'. Unfortunately this is the world we inhabit.
Bottom line: I'm not dickin' with Polaris' safety equipment, and I will drop the trees and yard them to my neighbor's property for the fundraiser if he is comfortable with his coverage after executing a liability waiver. Sad but true. And if you take your Slingshot off-road, even if it's the shoulder of an established highway with concrete barriers.....you're going to need your seatbelts! Just sayin'! Stay safe Brother!

As far as liability goes you will notice most of the harnesses and mounting systems sold say "for off road use only"
My personal preference for a four point is anchor them to the roll hoop bolts.
I would also only use seats with pass thru for the belts - stock seats are not designed for this type of harness and could do more harm than good in an impact. -
Yeah... I just don't want to cut through plastics and don't mind that mounting system that slingmods sells... Just mind the price.

You can take it apart to paint it - but you are not comfortable making a few small cuts
its time for a wrench day! Put some gas in the tank and point that thing north -

Need a trailer or dolly first! No more long distance traveling because I'm guaranteed at least 1 hydroplane spin out, and I rather avoid those...
Which reminds me... @Slingrazor, I'll be sending you that measurement finally!

Uhh....not if you don't ride in the rain....

If I could predict rain, I'd have a different job...
Or if I had a schedule that allowed me to work around rain when traveling, I'd have a different job... (retirement!)

Sounds like it is time to start a slingshot commune
