@WOLF sorry stand corrected had to rea. that again i didnt go with them because they are coaxial , so i believe built in tweeter. ran the marine components tweeter is separated
No problem. I just really like these and when I grow up will probably get them. Ideally I want the component 6.5 version of the ones I posted as well as the 5.25 I posted. I figured with spacers( maybe some shaving) I can upsize the stock pod holes and use the component tweeter for the tweeter hole. I've put that all in a cart on sonic's website about 20 times since @TheRock put his system together. He has the 6.5 versions in silver.

regardless of whether they say marine or not all you need to pay attention to is the material that the cone and surround are made off.
As long as it is not paper or treated paper then for the most part you are good to go unless you want something you can aim a garden hose at for 30 minutes and survive.

OK - if this has been asked I cannot find it. Slingmod provided that really good install video BUT he shows the wire goin down one of the holes to WHERE??? Do you drill a hole into the storage compartments and on from there or what. My go to guy @rabtech hasn't had a chance to install his yet cause he is takin care of his sick bride so he was not sure. Anybody ran the wire to an amp under the seat????
-
@Chowder hey bud I never dremmeled the side pods if that's what u were talking about I know u had requested a picture of the side pods with the prp seats and that's why I posted the picture. Ive only used a dremel on the front pods those are plastic I wouldn't suggest u dremel the side pods those are fiberglass and could possibly crack

the easiest way i found without removing all the plastics was to drill on an angle. If you do it right once you put the loom and put the seat back you can't even tell that is where you did it.

Yes, these SSV pods are being mfg'd by a new factory. They're far nicer than the current SSV front and side pods. New SSV front pods are coming later this year as well, along with some other goodies including full plug n play stereo integrations.
Can you get them in smooth Polaris white lightening ?????

Yes these will work perfect Bones.....

These pods are for 6 3/4 inch speakers. Just thought I would toss that out there for everyone. 6.5" speakers won't work at all... I tried the Memphis and my spare set of JL speakers. Both nearly fall through the hole. You might be able to make a 6.5" work if you were to redril all the holes and position the speaker where it is dead center. But it would not be recommended.
I have a set of Memphis MCX60 on the way. That should be the ticket...
