I was told by Slingmods that the min temp to install my light strips is 72 degrees. Does anyone know how long they have to be stuck on to get a good setup? Not having much luck with the weather reaching that 72 and when it does it is not for long. My box of wheel and underglow Chaser lights are just sitting here in the box. It is like waiting for Christmas morning. What about warming the area they go on with a heat gun, carefully?
LED light strips

Warming the area with a heat gun works to help adhere it. I would pass the heat gun over the area before sticking, and for at least a few minutes after to give it time to adhere, longer if the ambient temp is really really cold. I did this for several Tufskinz stick on decals. I am planning on installing my LEDs in the next week or two and will do the same.

Also be careful using the heat on the LED strips themselves. If they get too hot the casings can warp.

Yeah, I've done the same in 50-60 degrees in the garage. Clean really well. Alcohol (wipes, not drink, although . . . . ), then heat gun on the surface just to warm it up to touch temp (don't burn it, keep the heat gun moving at all times). Then stick on the strips. Don't heat the LEDs themselves.

NO heat gun.....you can use a 'hair dryer' which will warm up things and NOT cause damage.

As a residential painting contractor I use a hair dryer more than the heat guns. the heat gun get to hot to fast.

Heat gun is a very very wise choice if your not what I would consider a pro at using a heat gun.......im in the same boat as the temps in my garage is hovering around 50-55° and slingmods yesterday sent me my email , that my TufSkin (3 sets) of decals were shipped........i might hold off on putting them on til maybe next month.....but if i get BORED they are going on, ill warm my garage up to 75° with my keresene heater for the day

I have some electric heaters we could warm the garage up a little. That and the hair dryer should do it. Still don't think it is going to happen this coming weekend. 12 miles over to my son's house and they are calling for upper 50s low 60s with T Storms Saturday. Rain all day Sunday.

I have a few strips coming loose. Any idea how I can re-adhere them?

I used zip ties to make sure they didn't come loose. Depends on what area you're dealing with

Unfortunately the ones under the arm rests.
-
I thought of zip ties also then I wouldn't have to worry about dragging them down the road under the SS.
-
If possible, use 3M ADHESION PROMOTER. If that doesn't work, nothing will....
-
They provide a tube of something for the frame but I don't know what it is. Will pick up the 3M stuff tomorrow. They didn't use anything on the wheel rings but I bet the 3M stuff couldn't hurt.

Hope you included zip ties on your wheel lights

No but I am going too. They provided the ones for the cables.

I just installed wheel lights and underglow. I used zip ties everywhere and used a heat gun on the lower setting.
