Connecticut Tire, a local tire shop here.
You just have to find someone that carries American Racing Wheels.
Keep in mind these wheels are made to order, and stupid expensive.
Just as you, I loved the look when I first saw them here on this Forum.
Our Brother DER was the first to have them. I got exactly what he has.
Only difference is I went with Lexani Twenty Tires.
I believe DER has Toyo

Thanks for the info....
Sand the tires well!!....very important!
What grit sandpaper did you use for it?
What grit sandpaper did you use for it?
It's probably around 100 - 120 or so.
It's not fine by any means.
It comes with the kit....Letters, glue, sand paper.
Be careful, that glue will stick your fingers together faster than Super Glue!
When I get my replacement letters, I'm going to use a palm sander to get the old glue off the tire and rough them up a bit.
I'll use Diablo 100 Grit discs.
Cuts clean and doesn't load up.
Remember when doing it for the first time you must clean the tire extremely well.
Then rough it up with the sand paper.
Lastly, clean with alcohol.
Then you are installation ready!
So just some quick minor upgrades today…..first day home to play for 3 days lol. So just some little things, valve stem caps, oil fill cap, brake reservoir caps, and hopefully some day the clutch cap. Why I haven’t found one yet is Dave@DDMWorks fault.
Then tomorrow will be the hood vent and cat delete pipe thanks to TheWickedReaper
installed the cargo net doors and was disappointed that you can't have the Tube or frame covers on at the same time the velcro isnt long enough. https://www.slingmods.com/pola…ame-tube-covers?vehicle=3

Just got the rear fender back and set it on the tire to see how it will look.....just have to install it this weekend.
as always you rock Dave. Was really hoping to have the Gasket today but hey I knew you would have the correct one so placed the order today and will put that project on the back burner. Thanks as always. Guess all I have left to do today is DDM Hood vent.
So got the hood vent done and oil change woot woot.
This weeks goodies. My new garage sign. Trying out some LED lights
I see this meme all the time now days.. and it makes me wonder if people really still do the "slug bug" thing with kids. Most kids I see in cars are so absorbed with videos playing or electronic devices that I doubt they would see a motorcycle anyway...
I do agree with the meme though.

Where did you pick that up from?

Slingshot dealer that dropped Polaris. Had it hanging in his showroom, and he didn't sell them anymore, so I asked if he wanted to sell it.
Tell them when they get to 25 you'll stop for ice cream. Game on! Then stop at 20. Lesson learned!

I have a 68 Beetle and every so often, while we're out & about....we'll see someone slug the person they're with. You just know they're also saying: "Slug Bug!!!" It's pretty funny and also kinda nice to know it's still a thing after all these years!!!!
Bought a pair of DDM side hood vent louvers, still waiting on them but got the cut outs all done for them. Figured with the crappy weather, I would get a jump on it and take my time to clean it all up.
Not sure I will call this an enhancement to the SS but I guess it was a necessary purchase. For those of you who have been lucky enough not to have seen these parts, they are from the rear axle and the dreaded axle bearing. Had the angle drive recall done back in, I think, 2017, thought I was safe but apparently not. Got the ticking sound out back when going slow and really loud when in reverse some weeks back. Not heard of anyone having this issue since back in 2015/2016. 41,900 mi.
