Nota mod but just took Sling II to the dealer to get the upper A-Arms "Ball Joints" replaced . Ball joints have been bad, clacking, since around 18,000 miles. Also, the angle drive seal is leaking and will be replaced. This is the first seal I have replaced on Sling II, we are at 26,000 miles on it. I have got to get it ready for next summer, I AM NOT staying home next summer even if I have to use a walking stick. I will just have to slow down and ride SAFELY.
What was today's Sling project-Mods , goodies....?

I am already registered, just have to check if Teddy has already reserved my room at the Comfort Inn. She may have decided to go ahead and retire for good this time.

SlingLow May 31 thru June 4
Figures. I'll be out there a month early. I have to plan around my wife's schedule (spring break) unless I fly solo. Maybe I can work something out if I'm really, really good next year.

Come to Georgetown first. I just happen to have a loaner.

BKL my Grandpa Moses used to hand me one of these whenever I told him I'd do something when I get around to it. Man, I miss that guy!
I had to look that one up. Funny!

Purchased a Nelson Rigg Half cover. I have a Full Cover from Polaris. It's a quality heavy duty cover but it's bulky and barely fits in the behind seat storage compartment and needs to be "stuffed" in. Hoping this half cover can fit behind the seat leaving the behind the seat storage area open for other things?
I have the half cover, which I have modified slightly to be used with my Stringray top. It folds up into the storage bag it came with, and I stuff it down beside the passenger seat on the outside when travelling.

It'll fit in your glovebox if you want. Pretty small and keep mine in driver storage area behind seat with the tools and other stuff that lives in the sling.

Not a mod yet... but saw Mitch's Black Friday sale going on at RevDynamics so emailed him to get me an invoice for my extra rear wheel. Got that ordered today so I can get rubber on it and one step closer to the conversion! He sells with rubber, but I need another rear anyway (will be 3rd now) so will get those from my local suplier.
My buddy's garage where I did the turbo upgrade last winter is off the table. His boss gave him a almost new LS motor for his race truck he's building. I have another buddy with a bigger garage and lift I'm working something out with now. Trying to get all things lined up before my DDM kit arrives as I can't wait to do this conversion!

I was tired of dislocating my joint when I reached for a drink, so I designed and made a different cup holder. One is for a Tumbler size cap, or I can make it for a regular Soda can. I would make them for anyone who is interested "price is $ 80.00 plus shipping" I can also personalize it for an additional $ 5.00. I did not wash the assembly yet.
It mounts to the windshield brace with one screw (I ordered Star knobs), it comes drilled and taped so if you use a Ram mount you can re-use it. (Ram mount not included)
Also, I can make it in different color (at the moment I have white / black and red material at hand)
The beer can is for visualization only (don't drink and drive) don't have soda can's LOL
