Hey there was a few more when I got back if that's a result of me Awesomeness. Love it have to get some more going.
OK guys so today I finally realized one of my dreams on my bucket list. Mount Rushmore. Took over 20 years to do it. If you don't know the story see page 1. The drive up there is simply awesome. As we got closer my heart started racing. And when we came around the last turn and it was in front of us I yelled Izak look look there it is. Was so excited I could hardly wait to park. Got parked underground so cool. And we walked through the crowd the flags up to the view point I was absolutely mesmerized. Took some pics and reveled at how spectacular it is. Then I started to go over in my head all that has happened to get to this moment and I started to get emotional. I said to izak buddy I need to just get away from all the people for a minute. He said sure dad I'm kinda uncomfortable too. Neither of us like large crowds. What he didn't know was the tears were welling up and I thought I may cry and didn't want to do that in front of anyone. So we retreated to the parade roof where there was no one. Tried to take deep breaths seemed to work. Figured I better call the mama to let her know we made it. She said hello and I couldn't even talk just bust into tears. Finally choked out honey I made it. Told her I would call her later just couldn't talk. Heck the tears are streaming down my face writing this. Izak was like dad are you OK love that kid. I finally regained my composure and said ya buddy don't ever be ashamed to cry it makes ya human. Gotta have a break I'll continue in a bit.
Last July I rode from Alpha to Deadwood with my dealer and his wife to meet up with @Turbosling and Troy

You have a my total admiration for that, my friend! I am in awe of all you have accomplished on this trip- You have done what many of us cannot even fathom TRYING.
Prayer warriors:
A life-threatening storm has hit Rapid city. Vehicles are flying around like popsicle sticks. Mark and Izak are safe, in the hotel basement but the poor sling is outside in a parking lot, at the mercy of 100 kmh winds and softball side hail. Please pray for safety of the sling!
Xoxoxoxo
The sling can be replaced. Hope all is well with them.

Hey there you are thanks for the pic Danna. That's so cool. Cruising around with Troy. Ya him and Henry are all class.
OK so the storm passed was a little hairy there for a bit but us and the sling are ok. All is good. Still raining and a bit of lightning but is minor. We have weather warnings in Alberta but this was a state of emergency that's totally different. Was moving so fast was a little tense. But no worries all is well.
@Slingshot Garage
Glad to hear, stay safe and good riding.
OK I have recovered from my last post. Had no idea it was going to hit me like that. Happy tears I assure you.
So the drive up to and around Rushmore is Awesome definitely a must do if you haven't the scenery is just amazing. After we checked out Mount Rushmore we headed up to see Crazy Horse it's only minutes up the road and a must see. The work of one man and his family is just unreal Not to mention it just dwarfs Rushmore it's huge. The faces of Rushmore would fit on the cheek of it. Izak was kinda meh about the movie but after we watched it he was like wow dad I learned quite a bit. And he can't wait to share with his teacher and the kids at school. Did the tour around and could've done it a few more times but the grey clouds looming we thought it best to carry on.
Crazy Horse pics.
Figured I would take Izak for some fun after the monuments. And his dad being a wreck lol. Went to rush mountain. There's a mountain coaster and a zip line there. The coaster was supposed to be open spring 2016 so we were pumped up. We're both speed junkies so we really wanted to do it. Well we get there and it isn't completed yet probably in August Too bad you can see the track it's steep and looks like it will be fast. Caves scare him and I couldn't talk him into the zip line so it was a total bust. No biggie went to plan B. Go carts yay had a blast there. I'm a die hard racer and will aggressively hunt you down and pass you at any cost. Even if your my kid. Let him go first I like to be the hunter. Passed him after a lap and a half looked back and he was completely demoralized. So I "accidentally " go wide in turn one he flies past and leads to the end round 1 Izak. K so now he's talking smack so we go for round 2. He takes off and gets a half a lap lead. I catch him pass and take round 2. So it's a tie all is good he's thrilled. So we're on the way back to the hotel and I'm like so you beat me fair and square. You should know I've been to 3 different racing schools last of which was a full on formula 3 car (and you think the sling is fast)
So Izak says ya so I totally know you can drive better than that dad I know you totally let me win. I'm like no I screwed up and ran wide. He says well I won I guess. I'd be willing to bet he tells all his friends he totally smoked his dad the best driver in the world .....to him anyways. Lol
