Unfortunately we're getting close to the end of the season here in Maine. Picture of Mount Washington New Hampshire from today.

Our best riding season here in the So Cal desert is just starting - most people consider from late September through the end of May to be our "season" rest of the time we get to hot for most peoples taste

Gorgeous!

My rule is still if it’s going to hit 40 deg, I’m riding (except for 40 deg rain).

JUST SAYIN -
Like Cage Free, the best riding here in Florida is just about to start. We just need the love bugs to F off.

Rain tomorrow and 31 here Friday night. Could be worse. 6 to 12 inches of snow less than a day's drive to our north and west. Scout sits in the garage with a Corolla car cover on it and the BT Jr glowing a reassuring green. The cover is a little large. OK, it fits like a saddle on a sow, but it was $20 at Menards.

Riding season here is coming to a close . But you never know as Chinook weather can provide us with good opportunities for a ride now and then through the winter
-
Here in the low lands, (out of the mountains), of SW Oregon we may get a couple of days here and there of bad roads due to freezing weather, but otherwise there is no definitive riding season, as long as you do not allow the rain to deter you...........................

Riding season in the Ozarks is year round - if you're tough enough and have the right all-weather gear. Heated gloves help in the cold months - gotta get me a pair of those for this winter.
I grew up snowmobiling in Wisconsin, so cold weather riding doesn't bother me much. I've found I'm pretty comfortable down to 35 degrees for almost any length ride, and for shorter rides less than an hour, I've gone out as cold as 15 degrees.
No snow riding though! LoL!

How do you do with riding in heat?

Riding last Saturday I had to plug my air conditioning system to keep the cold air out.

I don't have a problem with heat, 30 years in the SoCal desert and I was fine. My wife is a more delicate flower, she has a quite narrow comfort range... below 70 or over 80 & she gets very uncomfortable!

Now that I have my heated seats working correctly, my driving season will be greatly extended. I'm used to riding my bike to work in 30s, so with the heated seats, all I have to do is find my thick riding gloves that I put away last winter.

Ohio..... first fall/winter with the Slingshot. On my previously owned Honda Goldwing, I rode in the low 20's as long as the road was dry. 25 degree was typically my trigger to drive instead. The Goldwing had heated grips, seats and a HUGE windscreen to hide behind. Combined with the proper heated apparel and wind deflectors'....... 20 degrees - 30 degree temps were not an issue. Snow or ice on the ground, then obviously I'm in the suv.
-
went for a 200 mile ride the other day in 50 degree weather. Just plugged our heated clothing in and we were comfy. Temperature is not always the deciding factor a lot of it depends whether the sun is out or not.

The Sport Top has been back on the Grasshopper for nearly a month now, that must mean that fall/winter has officially arrived here in SW Oregon!
