Trickle charger after about 2 hours or so I said it's charged. Disconnect battery cables and reconnected. Cleaned the ground terminal cuz it had a little bit of rust where it contacted a frame. Still not even hazard lights.
-
I I just pulled the battery all together and I'm taking it to get checked
-
Good choice it may have a short in it and show charged but as soon as a load is on it can fail. Make sure they do a load test.

Test said it was terrible... LOL.
$140 later

Good investment to have a new battery though. Let us know if it fires up.
Might invest in a voltage meter for the sling. Many of us add them. Something as simple as this : https://www.amazon.com/aceyoon…Compatible/dp/B07QZS36F2/
I have this one, wired it in and put in the glove box.

I I have a volt tester at home but thank you. It seems to have done the trick. All that work and that's all it was... LOL. I'm glad that's all it was

I just learned the hard way - had a brand new Optima Blue Top that had a bad cell in it which caused a low voltage problem. Replaced it in Kerrville. Since then the gauges all went crazy, would not shift correctly sometimes with my auto tranny. Fortunately Dr. Dave at DDM has her right now recalibrating and getting her ready for Eureka Springs. Had no idea low voltage could mess so many things up !!!

Great to hear!

Sorry to hear of your uncle's passing. Good that you were in a position to help family and able to smooth that bumpy road.
Your uncle apparently had some forsight, enjoyed the Slingshot, and thought of you as one that would appreciate it's unique quirks.
Now that you got that battery thing straightened out. It's time to road trip plan.
Run through the pre-ride checks...
Fluids, tire visual and pressure checks, wheel lug nuts, lights, horn, and operation check outs.
Keep in mind five inch ground clearance, third rear wheel centered, and extended nose curb cutter.
Plan a route. Keep an eye to weather. That Slingshot is not the same in wet as it is in dry. Park it if roads get wet.
Our best to you and yours...
Travel safe with fond memories.

Sorry about your Uncle passing.
Glad you found the problem....get a trickle charger because they will run down from sitting.....kept mine on it in the driveway all winter....
airoutlaw had some good advice.
Also watch for any gravel on the road....I had mine going straight...but after a hard rain the gravel was piled up in the center of the lane where the back wheel tracks....the back tire got on top of the gravel and it was wiggling the back end all around.....you can lose control very quickly...especially in turns....with gravel.....
I’m near Pittsburgh....good luck with your sling....

Thank you everyone! I'll be taking it home to York PA this weekend.

Oh and of course here she is...
Has an aftermarket head unit
An air horn (insanely loud)
And other stuff.

Rick Roth sorry about your uncle and congratulations on the sling.
Be extra careful on the way home, the slingshot is very prone to hydroplaning so please if the pavement is wet cut the speed in half.
When I fight bought my first one several years ago I thought everyone was over exaggerating and believed myself to just be a better driver and do fine......... Spinning and seeing headlights coming at you is not a pleasant experience, I walked away without any harm others here have no been so lucky.

I'll take your advice! Thank you
