Display MoreI put my shade on during the winter of 17/18. The driver side lid was warped the day I put it on and it hasn’t changed. We’ve put over 16k miles on ours and have tested it well into the triple digits on many occasions without issue.
I am 59, 5,11” 245lbs w/32” inseam. I normally do not raise the lid to get in or out.
Yes it’s a flimsy piece of crap that costs 4X what I t should.
That being said it is the best looking top on the market and besides looking like it belongs on the sling it is functional at taking care of air currents. It is not hot or claustrophobic. I have worn a full face helmet when on the track without issue. As far as traffic lights go, some I have to bend down a bit, others I can look through the port hole in the top and others are no issue at all.
Bottom line, if something happened to the top I have I would replace it with,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?????????? You guessed it, another SlingShade.
Here's a question for you, in the introduction video for the roof that came out last year the polaris rep stated the roof was designed to be easily removed in under 30 minutes. Do you know if anyone has tried this? The reason being that I would like to remove the roof for those perfect spring and fall days where the temps are just right and the sun is perfect with it's warmth so I can enjoy an open air experience for a change.
