What color scheme are you going with? They give you a decent trade-in on your other?

Yep, good enough trade and VERY good deal (better than we saw at Kerrville). I'm thinking of going Stormtrooper (Black and White).
-
Wow, awesome, looking forward to what you come out with.

Yeah but remember, Red ones are faster.
JUST SAYIN

Yeah, but if I go Stormtrooper, I'll never hit anything! (Remember this thread?: Batmobile is Totalled!)

Most of the Bats are gray or black.... Not the FAST red...

LOL Ej, and remember what color the fastest SS is?
Pretty sure it's not red

Dealership wanted mine so that they could put it up for sale ASAP and brought me the new one on trade. Will have to go back in 2-3 weeks for them to install all the accessories. And I've got full shopping carts on Slingmods, AllThingsSlingshot, SlingshotOnly, Amazon, etc. Because MAN, this think looks NAY-KID!
(So, does this count as a Mod? Technically, I replaced every single part. Twice.)

Bummer that you will have to wait...
To remove all those stickers.
Removal of those stickers prior to all those goodies...
Could result in cancellation of previously agreed upon installations.
Or, catastrophic modding depression.

Satisfied? Got a meeting in a few minutes, but after that I'm going out to remove reflectors too!

Oh. And Ahhhhhh. . . . . . . . .
(Ok, I think I have completely derailed this thread. rabtech - maybe move all these posts into a separate thread? Call it "Third time a charm?"
Just make it to Huntsville and all will be good. Mods or NO mods.

my slingshot didnt come with those oval reflectors - good thing, I would have removed them too - - as a side note I just looked at the parts on the polaris site and they charge $56.99 each

they did - but like so many, they fell off somewhere between rolling it off the truck and the showroom floor

Sorta getting back on track.. What's the helmet law in AL? I have a beanie helmet that can pack pretty easily.

But if you go though Tennessee you'll need one!
-
Best to have one with you just in case. Just last week Huntsville, AL PD rolled up beside me for not having my helmet on and I was stopped by a trooper a few months ago down by Ditto Landing. The law was changed and helmets aren't required now, but they were when SS were first released and many police officers still go by that initial guidance. if you get a ticket the judge will throw it out, but if you are coming from out of town you probably don't want to hang around for a court date. Best insurance is to have a helmet and a good attitude and most likely getting nothing but a warning anyway. The autocycle classification change requires seat belt, but not helmet use in AL. If you decide to make a run up to Jack Daniels in TN you will need one for that ride since TN is still a helmet state.

[/quote]I haven’t worn a helmet in Tennessee in almost a year. But then, I’ve got a roof too.
