Are looking to paint the Slingshot your self? Don't know how 'auto paint' is measured but as a residential painting contractor a gallon of good paint will cover
400 sq ft. of wall.

I use about 1 gallon for my sling,... depends on if you have more then just the regular painted surface being painted. This time I used 3 quarts black for the base, 6 quarts immortal color change, more coats are better for color change, and 4 quarts clear. I have a little extra immortal,... about a quart, and clear coat,... about a cup for spray gun, if I need to touch up areas. I had 1 good coat of black, 1 regular coat and 1 heavy coat of immortal, and 3 heavy coats of clear. Hope it helps.

Plus I painted a lot more the regular areas. I have a custom hood, front fenders, rear fender, rear wing, and lower side pieces and a few odds and ends. Good luck and have fun.

A basic paint job for a slinshot includes 24 pieces. To cover those 24 pieces 1.5 to 2 quarts of base coat is enough. If you go beyond the basic skin of the sling you will need more.

Here's a PDF I made that estimates the area for each body panel for a total sq ft of about 75 sf.
Just wanted to clarify that I didn't take exact measurements and simply used the rough length & width to determine the area fro each piece, so hopefully, my estimate should be on the high side. There had been an earlier estimate for body panel area on TDS, but I felt it was not accurate enough and did my own .
