I just installed a 12 inch led strip under the lip on mine so that you could not even see the light strip. (Walmart)

My intention is to make for each of the "holes" a waterproofed housing and integrate sequential LED's , and I yes I know a little bit about how to wire Stuff up.

I'm glad we have so many talented people here.... Lots of fun to watch.

@mytoy I have been thinking bout this for weeks now, couple of ideas was to put a round led from trucks , problem is the sequential wiring. I looked at the big rig lighting got some ideas but not done yet. Let’s see pics
I'm not worried about the wiring at all, I will design this in 3D again and take it from there. Prototype like I did for double nut cover before it was available. I just gonna to have fun again and show stuff,

Hey @mytoy, Lite The Nites puts red lights in those slots to look like fire. Sequencing them would be interesting.
Orange and yellow would look like flames.

Ebay... I believe it was @lrobbi who first shared them with me... They're Audi Q7 style I think...
I since removed those and bought another style that are switchbacks too on Amazon... Haven't wired them up yet though... -
^^^^
Those don't appear to be switchbacks @Cypressfunk13... Just FYI...But if you search in ebay for switchback Audi drl, you may find them through the mess that is eBay...
Here are the new ones I bought, but haven't installed...

They are facing forward, my idea is to do brake and blinker lights facing to the rear (TRIPOD).

Well, not those @mytoy, but you could take these red/amber LEDs and put them in those 3 holes in the plastic guards...

I did look at many aftermarket solutions for cars, but they don't fit (lengths). Again I just start I just start with this project, and up here in PA the SS season is coming to an end so I've time. I may have to make my own circuitry and led boards who knows yet. I need stuff to do except to be Barbies Toy

I understand... Just sharing options for others interested in DIY...
Those I listed can be cut to length...

A great thread. I too have considered using those three holes for sequential directional led lights. Have been a fan of those as my ‘68 GT350 has them too. I see lots of kits online to operate the sequential leds, and I could assemble and encapsulate them. But has anybody found a low cost preassembled and programmable module suitable for this task?? I did find this one in Amazon that would do the job as it includes two modules.
