You just need to be careful the local LEO's do not enforce it around town but the State guys don't fool around - spoken from experience

For the most part the 'local leo's' haven't worried to much about the helmets when in town. The State boys different story. Fly a little below the radar and things will be fine.
I know many of you have done Maggie Valley in the past, so who can tell me what the helmet law is in NC?
Thanks
I have gone to the Maggie Valley meet twice now. Have never worn a helmet through TN or NC. Even got pulled over at the TN end of the Dragon and was given a warning ticket for speeding but the officer never mentioned my lack of helmet.
Just put it on, the SS is water resistant not stain resistant.

Probably going to depend on how his 'day' is going.....last June got a 'seat belt' ticket....the 'Brown Bear' was telling me I should slow down just a little....didn't argue a bit. I do have a picture of his Boss sitting in my Slingshot at the 4th of July Parade.
I wear a novelty helmet. Never had a pronlem

That is because AKA Jim Camp = NOVELTY
@D.W.Slusher, I rode all day two days without a helmet in NC all over the place. But I did have the top on at the time, I think that's the key. I also did in Tenn on the way home, but again I had the top on and they may not have noticed. I always had the helmet with me though. GA will nail you if they see you though, and at least one day we plan to do the falls run while there and will go over into northern Georgia mountains on that.

My last trip to the Booze and Blues I did not wear a helmet all the way thru N.C. on the inter-state, I have the UP Top.
Booze and Blues is on the "to do" list this year for us. I can't promise we will make it, but the reason we didn't last year was that my wife had volleyball games that weekend that she was contracted to officiate. She retired from that at the end of last season, so we plan to make it if at all possible!

I’m getting Joy and I helmets before the trip. I also need to make sure all said states recognize our carry permits.

I have an app on my phone called Legalheat it has all the states gun laws right at your finger tips. I use it all the time on my trips. There are probably others by now but its very handy to have.
Reserved the room at Jonathan's Creek. We will only be there Friday - Sunday. Look forward to meeting the rest of you lunatics (I mean fellow slingshot riders). I need to save my pennies so I can ride home on some new shocks. That way I can show the wife the before and after ride. I think that is the only way it makes sense!

I replaced shocks after 40,000 miles (wife with me some) and she noticed the better ride more than I did.
(Slingshot rumor mill report not 100 % vetted) Johnathan Creek Inn is on fire at the moment. Don't know how bad but reservation may need to be checked in the coming days.
Not there this year but I know a number of us are so passing the word.

It was a rental house across the street from Johnathan Creek. Happened yesterday I believe.
My Barbie just called and the Hotel is fine it was one of there other properties. So my honey and I don't have to tale our expensive tent.
Good to know guys and why I posted it here. I didn't have time to confirm (reason for beginning disclaimer).
Thanks!
