  • Hey, if it works for the left and accepted by them, then it is good enough for the other side too.

Isn't it funny that NOW they are hammering one of Trumps pics for having an illegal on the payroll?
I thought that is what the left wants, to let the illegals in the country so they can get jobs and work and get paid so they can send the money back to Mexico?
I guess the left can do it, but if a repub does it, then all of the sudden it is bad and he should be given the death penalty and hung on the steps of the white house.

I gotta defend this one. Typically the right hates all form of illegal immigration. It's highly hypocritical to have one as an employee.

  • What did y'all think of that trump press conference. Oh my.

His PR people need to invest in duct tape. And that's not mocking, it's true. If he wouldn't give the media so much fodder, he might find them to be a little "nicer". The average American has an attention span of 5 mins or less for issues, so if he would shut his mouth for a while, it might be beneficial.

Maybe. His approval rating is climbing. That would fall squarely in the category of odd and interesting.

    Loved it ............

I disagree completely ........ I cast my vote for Donald J Trump to be Donald J Trump ..... I knew what I was getting, good and bad, long before hand and would be pissed if he approached it differently or stayed quiet just for nice press (which wouldn't happen anyway) .... you know what he thinks, feels, and intends direct from his mouth... unfiltered....without PC or kowtowing .. like it or not, agree with it or not, when have we ever had that from the Presidency in recent history ....

    .... it's gonna be huge ... wink-squared

    .

:REDSS: The ghost of SLingshot past ......

  • I've never seen anything like it.

I don't think so @sideseatdriver - I think the left liberals and media just have a genuine hatred for him personally, his policies, and the direction he wants to lead the country. If he were to call a press conference calling for deportation to stop and open the borders - the left's new Headline would read "Trumps Buckles Allowing Immigrants to Take American Jobs - IMPEACH HIM!! If you know somebody is gonna hit you no matter what you say or do - why give them (the media) the time of day??

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • Two alligators were sitting at the side of the swamp near the lake. The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, "I can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same age; we were the same size as kids. I just don't get it."

"Well," said the big gator, "what have you been eating?"

"Politicians, same as you," replied the small gator.

"Hmm..... Well, where do you catch them?"

"Down the other side of the swamp near the parking lot by the Capitol."

"Same here. Hmm.... How do you catch them?"

"Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out, grab them by
the leg, shake the shit out of them and eat 'em!"

"Same here." says the big gator. "Do you eat Democrats or Republicans?"

"I eat only the Democrats" says the little guy.

"Ah!" says the big gator. "I think I see your problem. You're not getting any real nourishment. You see, by the time you finish shaking the shit out of a Democrat, there's nothing left but an asshole and a briefcase."

    Nobody gets outta here ALIVE

  • Do you actually listen to him and the questions asked by reporters and his answers to those questions @Tripod? @sideseatdriver is 100% accurate. He needs to either stop talking and tweeting or learn how to listen and think about his answers to questions. He has become blindly defensive. Not every question is an attack, yet he goes on defensive tangents that have no relevance to the question.

He is softening when caught in a lie, that was nice to see. Not the best excuse, "that was what I was told", but at least he didn't deny the facts. More of that would go a long way to easing the pressure from the press.

Everyone makes mistakes, misquotes something, gets bad information, as long as they admit they were wrong when directly confronted with facts, that misstep just fades away. If they stick to or double down on misinformation, the press will hound them relentlessly, and rightfully so.

  • The press isn't infallible, no matter what you think @Tripod. They fall under the same " everyone makes mistakes, misquotes, gets bad info...". They are part of everyone. ;)

And much like I said Trump needs to think before he speaks. The press needs to undoubtedly confirm before reporting, that is their job. And we rely on them to do it well. I'm not out there interviewing people in the know.
