Now that's a pretty cute baby! And I don't often say that!!!
Just because it's a baby, doesn't make it automatically cute people...

oops sorry @ Slingrazor the above post was supposed to include this pic
Trent will know very few other Trent's. I have only met 6 others in my life time.
The only way you will get good down force would be to get a spoiler high up in the clean air flow. The aerodynamics of the SS is like taking the airfoil shape of a wing and cutting off the trailing edge. To make a low spoiler function there would have to be a change of the shape from the roll hoops back to allow the air flow off the back instead of breaking up.
The Slingshade would have almost corrected for a lot of the problems.
With regards to the Slingshade @Slingrazor, I agree. Hence, this design
While we have all this great designer input, toss me a response, and remember I have broad shoulders lol. this is from a response to tom n carol on the dark side.
Also @MISTERZ06 on a personal note, and anybody else please chime in. Is it just my biased opinion or does anybody else think that lower tail cone shown above , would be desirable to anybody as a filler piece between the rear deck and the tire, Should it be offered as a separate piece? To me it drastically changes the look back there which was one of my goals, as I truly believe that buck .99 license plate holder Polaris provides is the biggest source of, not really buyer remorse, but a little bit of frustration. Any thoughts?
Honestly? Looks like an add on...
I think the Corbin bags nailed it on design and not function (obviously from what I heard... 1 good versus 3 or 4 bad)...
But the price for those? $3k??? Hell no... For a grand I would charge it in a heartbeat... If they'd fit a 315 rear tire...
probably, never was meant as a stand alone part was meant for with rear quarter panels and bags , just wondering though.

To me the flow is killed by the transition from the angled deck to the box of the license plate area.
Yep, a lot feel that way too, @ron manfredi and I WERE JUST TALKING about how it might be worthwhile for me to pull one of those parts and use it as a plug and somehow modify the plate box so it slants out at bottom like @2SierraRomeo did with his lower wing , am certainly entertaining something along that line
Hell maybe even have that forward sweeping wing sprout out of the bottom of that new plug lol
Kev, the license place box looks out of place regardless by itself or added panels, follow the body lines out and put a "cheesy bracket" on again. That offers buyers to place the plate in relocated location if preferred.

Price is always subjective, some day there may be some gently used ones.
I have ran a 325 tire with no issues.
Ran with a 345 with the pods no problem.

I did not know you had a 345 then, almost forgot you had Corbin's.
Okay... Corbins are on the list again!
Unless something better comes along...
Wish I knew @Goats_Hogs and had the Sling back when he sold his!
I am not sure I could sell them to you if I really knew you and liked you! Problems with mine includes (but not limited to) the following....
1) Upon install, dealer shimmed the latch bolt out so far that it was only held by one thread, which pulled said thread in short order. 5/16ths of thread, 1/4 inch of washers.
2) Rattled like nothing I've heard on a street machine.... it was embarrassing to drive if less than a smooth road.
3) Lids pop open randomly, usually on the road at high speeds.
4) lids leaked. Even when washing it by hand.
5) blemishes showed up looking like blisters in the black portion of the bags.
6) Fender cracked where it mounted to the left bag over time.
7) $3,333 price, plus sales tax, plus installation. $4,000 for shoddy craftsmanship.
The good thing is that IMO, they finish out the back of the SS like it should have looked from the start. I've seen nothing that beats the look, and is the reason they still sell them. I, however, after what issues I had.... will not own them again.
Sorry for the derail. Please resume as you were.....
I didn't wanna say to much as only a few know my thoughts / ideas on this I was thinking a while back. When I designed my Wings I was talking with Fab guy about a rear fender that had a wing design. Would come off side of tub (mounting point) and center would be a compact fender like look. Would need to structure a stronger center for integrity. Have scetches. Could be a reality, again my thought was filling as much of ugly tub area as possible. I'll look for scetches
Sorry to hear Goats_Hogs!
I'd actually consider permanently sealing the "bags" as I'd want them just for looks! Corbin left out the function for us!
Anybody know there English history What,s his fathers name ?
"Dad"

Actually the licence plate holder is an easy fix. A little bit of paint and it looks like it came that way. Or like something slingmods would sell. Filler piece is not bad missing something.... I know a forward swept wing up on the deck would be badass.
Still playing around
