Okay, I have a minute. So yesterday I sheared the bolt. Today, I went to go get the tools I needed to extract the bolt. Snapped my first drill bit, but hey, I'm learning. Second one worked. Started with the extractor tool. Sheared it. Yes, I sheared it. With vice grips if you must know. Used the dremel to cut off the top portion of the remaining bolt which loosened the extractor tool tip enough for me to get it out. Tried again. Same result. Managed to get that tip out. Figured 3rd time was a charm.... Sheared that one too. F$#! this. Called a local car shop, they asked to see it. Brought it in and they said nope. Recommended I go to a mchine shop, which just happened to be across the street. Dragged the kids and the bar to the shop, which was closed, but they took pity on me and opened the door. Showed them my issue (and blamed K2) and they gave me the "holy crap did he screw this up" look, followed by the "how exactly did he manage to shear off an extractor tool?". I didn't have the heart to tell him it was #3. Anyways, a few minutes later, the bar was back in my hands, and they wouldn't take a dime. Tomorrow I'm delivering beer.
I love it! The only part of the story that bothers me is that I'll never be able to go there myself now.
