@DeputyDawg pm @RichArlt. He pulled a custom built travel trailer / tool trailer quite a ways with the Wycked hitch system. He's the designer of it so he'd know best about the system. He documented the entire trip as he took advantage of the trip and made it a traveling adventure with him and his daughter. Again, it will easily pull your trailer. You DO NOT want to mount anything on that swing arm. Have someone drive your SS and you follow along behind it to where you can see how much the swingarm bounces around. If that doesn't convince you not to mount anything on there then nothing will.

Thanks jorgebri60. I have been doing some searching today. I am going with a frame mount. Just will have to decide between the wycked or other. Ease of installation will also be a factor. Since there are no dealers near me , I will be doing it myself. Have to wait on Spring time.....getting cold in Texas now.

Where bouts are you in Texas @DeputyDawg ??

I'm in west Texas if you're anywhere near here be glad to help with install. Wycked looks intimidating but it's not really.

We'll be shooting a new install video soon. The 2017 SS has an electrical module that needs to be moved, as does the canister for the California Emissions. No problems though. If you download the install instructions from our website you'll see it's the easiest install of the frame mounted units.
We also plan to add a backing plate to the rear underbody panel so that the slot you cut into it can go all the way to the front edge. This will allow you to remove the underbody panel with the hitch receiver in place, giving you access to the rear subframe, wiring, and hitch adjustment rod without having to take the top deck off. I thought @jorgebri60 would have figured that one out for us as a beta tester!

Hey! Cmon now. Figured a bunch of stuff out. Had to leave a few things for you guys. Now where's that rack I drew for you

Don't EVER say RACK to Bill Martin without a pic or he'll be too depressed to post for a week (oh, this ISN'T in the NSFW thread, so you're forgiven)

You KNOW I have something to say, but based on the thread it's in, I can't go there

Thanks MBMedic and Bill Martin. The swing arm mount hitches and the frame mount hitches all look great. My main concern is the camper I pull. It's rated at 350 lbs unloaded but I pull it loaded at around 475 to 500 lbs. Tongue weight between 30 and 35 lbs. I just need to be sure that a hitch will carry it. Does anyone know if someone is pulling a Timeout, Bunkhouse or any other camper? I believe a frame mount would be better in my case.
