"Plus logistics surcharge of $700 will apply"
Guess that's to cover all the fancy go fast stickers ..........
.
Meh!
Probably still have base at reasonable price?
So again, all Polaris does is change paint colors and charge us even more? For you know, having to clean the paint lines?
When are they going to put an LS in one? Or come out with the Electric? Change the body shape? New nose? Or do something really different?
$47K base with funny money

Yes, 21,499
I think before I would spend 40k on this Slingshot, I would look at a MX5 Grand Touring.. About the same bucks, but faster, handles better and has a bunch more stuff for the buck.

I would agree with you about more practical a MX 5 or BMW Z series..
But then it would not be a Odd 3 wheeler that draws the attention as Slingshot or Vanderhalls Do..
The only reason I own them is very few have them...
Even the new C8 Corvette OMG how many are out there already..
But never do I pass a 3 wheeler but 10 times out of a year..
Even at 71 I Wish I could be more Sensible but No still want Odd Vehicles..LOL

I know... but just as much fun with the top down... I believe... Plus:
No exhaust fumes, angle drive noise, can talk to passenger without yelling, can ride in the rain with no problems, has heater and AC... can shift or be in auto mode, I could go on.... but I love my Slingshot too....
I have a 2015 Z51 vette. Been on the allocation list 7 months now for a 2023. My ride of choice is my 2015 sling sl.

You are right..... When I got my first Can-AM Sypder it was the same way... everyone wanted to know what it was... (2011). I couldn't stop at a gas station without several people coming up and looking and commenting... That is why I bought my first Can-Am because I wanted something different... I had 4 Spiders all told, and this is my 2nd sling and got my first motorcycle in 1969 (Bridgestone 175), Harley's, Honda's (I really liked their 1800 Geldings), Kawasaki's, the first thing I ever had (bought by my dad who rode, was a moped (1966), when I was out of gas I could pedal it.... I love them all...
I was just commenting not about practicality, but for bang for the buck....
Daughter still has her 2008 can am spyder. First of 2,500 ordered.

I was doing way more touring back then and they didn't come out with the RT until 2010 (and it had quite a few issues) ... and in 2010 it was basically the same as the RS with more plastic... I waited until 2011 so they worked out some kinks... That one left me stranded a couple times because of electrical problems...
I put over 60k on the 2012 RT and the best thing they did was in 2014 they did kind of what Polaris did in 2020 changed the RT over 70%, new motor, trans, brakes, shocks, and the styling a bit.
That Machine was awesome well over 75K in the 4 years I had it... (I was still working at that time).. Had a 2018 for a bit before I got bit by the Slingshot....
