This made me laugh (a little too much) during breakfast today...
What do you carry

I know we’ve talked about what you carry. How about “HOW” you carry in your Sling!

Agree... I find it difficult to apex carry in the SS and no real convenient place to stash pistol in holster within reach.

I do plan on making a universal pistol mount for any "glock style" handgun that will securely mount concealed under the dash between the steering column and center console. If the design I have already drawn-up works, I'll make one for a revolver as well.
Sadly, I'm truly struggling for free-time these days to get stuff done... and while that's no excuse ~> my work-life balance is WAY disproportional at the moment.

I've been looking the option below, mounted on the steering console or tunnel near the ignition. Out of sight for the most part, and still an easy reach. So far I've just kept it on myself. Might not work with a composite or stainless weapon well, then again it might with a 43 pound pull on what steel is internal. Just one of the many things I've considered, but so far not done any of them.

In Washington it is illegal to leave a loaded firearm in an unsecured (meaning unlocked) vehicle. This will display the weapon to anyone watching and everyone is watching. I have opted for pocket carry of a small .22 magnum revolver. While this significantly limits my firepower it is still more effective than throwing rocks. The mounted holster could be useful on extended trips.

I like that option. I would think that you might see some wear on the pistol from vibration but I get the same keeping them under the seat. Once relegated to a 'truck pistol' additional wear is expected and acceptable.

I do not worry about a mount on the SlingShot, because as long as I have my pants on there is one on my hip and a spare mag.

And when you don't have your pants on.....???

It is within arms reach.

It sure is!

Any weapon that is everyday carry is never going to win the beauty pageant. I've resided myself to this, and chose my daily carry accordingly. I'm just like you, additional wear is expected and acceptable.

I keep mine in its holster also.

My long rifle bag sits just fine from the passenger fire wall and across the passenger seat. Tactical bags are even easier to take to the range. Both are secure and not in the way of the controls in any way. Only way to go if the weather cooperates.

He's got his gun in his hand.

Correct. In a lot of states, if witnessed, you can be charged with "brandishing" in this situation.

I have the Velocity Sport seats, and I carry IWB just off center of my spine, where the angle of the seat changes. When I slouch just a tiny bit, there is a gap between my body and that angled corner, and my XDS .45 just disappears into it.
I also need to start carrying on my ankle again, like I used to on the motorcycle.
In the summer, when I tend to wear cargo shorts, I usually drop an airweight snubby into a cargo pocket. I need to stop being lazy and get a holster that fills the rectangular space and keeps the gun from flopping around.
I will also occasionally, for longer rides, push a holster into the gap between the seat and the tunnel, and let the seat keep it in place. I need to experiment some more with some industrial strength velcro...

I also carry a xds .45
