That's one reason why I never had one. I sure loved the style and drool every time I see one. Kinda like an 18 year old blonde hottie. Always wanted one but never had one

I feel like I should start a Go Fund Me account for you but then I realized I can't remember if I had one either so maybe a group buy would be better

Start now and it could be one hell of a Maggie Valley 2019. I'm just sayin
I'm not sure that's called a group buy... Or a gan... Nevermind...
Display MoreSome more of my hobbies/money pits.
This is before I sold both the VN2000 and the Gold Wing.
Loved both of those bikes. Miss ‘em.
Give it a couple weeks, you won't even remember what they looked like....

I didn't know where else to put this, but I made a couple of new friends tonight. There is a gentleman in our community who is into cars, and he and a friend of his were at the pool the other day with their grandkids, and we started talking about the Slingshot.
So, turns out that Pete, the visitor, has a sixty-year-old Morgan Roadster that he drove to South Carolina from New York, just to visit. Roy, the homeowner, has a new Fiat Roadster and an old MGA in cherry condition. I didn't know those details until tonight, when I went over to give Pete a ride in the Slingshot.
Boy, did that man smile. He told me after the ride that he hasn't smiled like that but only a few times since his wife died 2 years ago.
Anyway, what caused me to put this post in The Money Pit category, is the picture of the inside of Roy's garage. It's only a 3 bay, and right now his friend Pete's Morgan is in one of the spots, but what a gorgeous set up he has there, and his tools and such are immaculate. He's been a wrencher for 50 years, and he used to race as well.
Cool story @KayTwo!
I just had my Sling in front of the new house and a neighbor came over to talk Sling... He said I shouldn't be at my midlife crisis yet ... That he should have the Sling.... They were on their way to a graduation, but I told him whenever he wants to ride or take it for a spin, to let me know...
And I've really liked that new fiat 124 spider for awhile... It reminds me of a pre-pube Viper... Viper has always been my dream car... Not the newer ones... The design right before that one...
Getting closer to finishing this project.

I like that with the speakers showing with no covers

@FunCycle yeah ..me too however I have the materials necessary to make the covers. Im making them removable so i can gauge the look.
Only good if there are no children around, because they would have to put their fingers thru the speakers
Kids kids kids
...you are right!
Wow, there are some talented people here! And some really expensive hobbies too. I thought my camera gear (Fuji X-T3 plus lenses) was expensive. Boy was I wrong! Spend it like you got it!
