The new "Bobber" cut fenders were a huge hit at Vegas..... Of course, my blowing my motor up in front of the hotel at 127mph was a close second. I have another bullet sitting in the shop that I'll have in the sling before I go to Maggie Valley.... But when you play with the Big boys.... Sometimes it bites you in the behind! Forgot to take my race gas tune out of the beast, was running a full tank of 104, but then after I filled up with Vegas crappy 91 octane, I forgot and redlined it one to many times showing off & "BOOM"! so, we will be a display model only in Kerrville this week.

Now you see, all of you have the pictures

Guys... Having had the pleasure of seeing these and meeting @StickerDick Mark in person... In my opinion... The smallest "bobber" fenders are on my dream list! Those are the perfect size and really look oem without the mud flaps... Wow!

that's easy - just like at home you'll hear "suck it up butter cup and grow a set"

Anyone having any excessive wobble when going over bad roads, basically if I go over a road that has uneven patches/seams the fenders wobble so much I had tire rash on the outer part of the tire/fender even though I have about 1 1/4" spacing.
If I wanted to make them sturdier could I add another later of fiberglass on the inside(I have never done it but after a quick youtube search it seems simple enough but I don't know if it would stick to the "old" fiber without me doing anything special.

Thinking that's another reason why I'd like the bobber style... They are very minimal and I'm guessing lighter weight so they wouldn't... Bob? -

I do not have that problem with mine. Could we have pictures please of how you mounted the fenders, I am wondering if you did something different.
-
Mines has some of that wobble when I hit those patches in the road BUT because of the tire and Wheel/ Rim width I had to extend my spacers - so I know this is the case for mines. With that said, I am close to tire... very close but NO NO rubbing - so it’s been okay for me.
-
I took them off after the close call on my way to an event yesterday ,in the process of painting the inside so I can notice if it actually rubs or just wobbles tomorrow when i take it for another test drive .Basically I mounted mine on the inside(you had yours on the outside if i remember right) basically i had the metal arm followed by a rubber gasket(the square shown) and that is attached to the inner part of the fender, on the outside i have large neoprene washer followed by a large fender watcher and then the nut.
I might switch the outside neoprene to a self made rubber one since I think rubber is more durable when exposed to the elements, i also chose large fender washers to have a larger surface to distribute the "force" so less chance of cracking/breaking the fiber.
When on I have about an inch and a quarter of clearance, I have cut about 3 inches off the fender during my initial attempt to give them form.
Originally i had them at 3/4 inch clearance but that was too close and actually a rock chipped them which is what forced me to cut some off even though I was not at a stage where I want to cut/paint yet.
PS, this is passenger side.

mine are maybe 1/4-1/2 inch from the tread, and about 3/4 inch from the sidewall. No rubbing, a little bounce going over bumps and rail road tracks but nothing that I have noticed

hm............now I am wondering if mine have a little more flex than needed, my first attempt was mounted at 1/2 - 3/4 inch and I had a rock get stuck on the thread and damage the lower part of the fender which is why I am at about 1 1/4" now.
