I have a 2017 SLR. Would like to add the Canadian Headlight option, however the 2017 does not have knockouts for this option. I have checked part numbers for 2105, 2016, 2016.5, and 2017. The 2017 model year uses a completely different part. Thought about buying the 2016 headlight pods, but from the looks of the 2016 & the 2017 part it will not fit properly.
Anyone else with a 2017 looked into this, or anyone have any suggestions.

Make sure you check the light mounting brackets as well. It may not just be the front plate that you will need.
-
@av8ingtom that is interesting. Makes for some of the easy conversions a little harder to do. Mine (2016.5) popped out and I installed my LED driving lights in its place.
-
@av8ingtom give Noel a call at cyclesprings, he said he was working on making his own bracket to be able to do the conversion. I'm not sure if it's complete yet but he will definitely be able to help

Thank you @Ice9812. Will call him tomorrow.

Mitch. The 2016 will not fit. The 2017 has not punch out or bracket. It is one solid piece with just one headlight on each side. Looked at installing 2016 part.

You can always cut a hole and put in round LED fogs

Very interesting... Do they sell the SLR in Canada?

You'd have to build a bracket or some kind of strengthening plate behind it. There's nothing back there, just a single molded piece of thin flimsy plastic designed to look like the earlier Slings, but with none of the modularity. Pretty sad, really.

I have a set of mounts for the outside lights from a 2015 SS. Originally whey you purchased a set of Canadians they sent your a complete new set of mounts. They might work.

I need those brackets. I cut one of mine up experimenting with different lights. I would love to buy those.

I will most likely end up cutting a hole like you said. Just think It is weird that Polaris has the Sling Pre wired but no punch out plugs for installing the lights. Maybe I should call a Canadian dealer and see if they have a part number.

@Slingrazor I would still need to find the plastic headlight bezel. The 2017 has no punch out plug in the bezel like the earlier models. PreWired but no way to mount. The bezel from earlier models does not look like it will work. Taking pictures and will post them tonight.
-
@av8ingtom maybe I'm wrong but I would think you need part number 14( part # 5439869) and 16 (part # 5439870), along with the other brackets
-
I will call Cycle Springs today. When I search the parts for a 2017 it only shows the USA version available. I hope you are correct and that I have missed something.
-
You have to search on the 2015 or 2016 model, maybe find someone in your area with a 2015 or 16 and take theirs off to see if it's mounted the same way. If I remember correctly you just need to take the corner marker light off and the the plastic bezel is held on with 2 allen head screws

The 2015-2016 bezels will not fit. I have tried that. Polaris decided to make the 2017 bezel a different shape. Just enough to make it not work.

So this is what I have found for the 2017. [attach=32937,'none','2']
