I'm running them and have been happy with the product but this vendor has a history of not delivering on time if at all. I will say l got what I ordered but not in a timely manner.
Do your homework well

I have no experience with this vendor but we purchased and installed over New Years a used set of QA1 shocks and so far we have been pleased with how they have transformed our SlingShot into a more comfortably ride.
If you are not aware, these shocks are assembled from QA1 components, ( https://www.qa1.net/ ), they are not a product of this vendor. You can purchase the individual components from the like of Summit Racing, ( https://www.summitracing.com/s…ending&keyword=QA1&kr=QA1), and assemble your own custom shocks.
Also, here is yet another option: http://www.demonsspeedshop.com…shock-kit-black-or-silver . These were the shocks we were going to purchase before a used set presented itself, where there are also a couple of other options that you will find here: http://www.demonsspeedshop.com/parts.
Bill
Added note: If you contact Demons Speed Works, they also offer additional spring options if you want to further customize your ride.

Yeah, in all honesty that's the way I was leaning anyway. I have numerous DDMWorks parts on my SS too. I just saw the price on the 3-way shocks from Hahn and it caught my interest.

As far as the shocks themselves go, the price is good and QA1 shocks are a quality product.

I got my QA-1's from Hahn.
Good price,, and He did keep me informed about the progress of the group buy.... but it took 4-5 months to get them.
On the other hand, ordered at the end of October, had 'em in time for spring riding season.
Caveat emptor, brother!

You could just pm Dave... He's transparent and always ready and willing to help, even if not slingshot related!
Just an awesome person who's character and service meets the high expectations of his products. 💯

Group buy? Reading thru this forum, and Cobalt and Solstice forums going back years, Hahn's reputation is weak (trying to be nice). Why does it have to be like that? Always the same problem, which is months of waiting.
Waiting 4-5 months to assemble parts that are readily available doesn't make sense. It leads me to believe his distributers and he are on bad terms also. I bet he can't get any product unless he pays up front in full, hence needing your money up front as part of a "group buy".
As wjfyfe stated, you can buy all the parts, sans the (12) aluminum spacers that are needed for the shock ends. You can buy all the shock parts for a grand total of $725, retail. So, yes, if you are one of the first ten people it is priced good. However, waiting for months makes no sense, when he is sitting on your money for all that time.
To make a point, if someone bought a bar of aluminum and machined as many spacers as possible, they could sell them at a profit, and then people could just order the QA1 parts themselves. A $40 bar of 2024 aluminum will make enough spacers for (24) shocks ends.
I bought all the shock parts myself, and mistakenly didn't buy the shocks with the spherical ends. After buying the spherical ends, I had spent $775 total. I machined all the bushings in less then 30 minutes, that's writing the program, setting up the machine, and running them all off.
This has not been a rant, but a courtesy to my fellow forum members.
