Somehow my SS has developed a very noticeable right side gap between the hood and the lower nose. I don’t see any elongated holes at the hood-hinge bolts. Nor any bent hardware. Before I tear into it, is there an easy fix I am not seeing?
Hood - lower nose gap

The nose/moustache is kept on by 3 bolts on each side, and the brackets are slotted for adjustment. The two upper bolts are 10mm and the lower is 13mm, loose all 6 and lift to adjust. It's helpful to have someone assist you that can hold it up or tighten bolts.

You have bumped a curb or the bolts are loose. If you look in front of the tire on the frame you will see where the front valance bolts on. Two bolts on the lower bar and two more bolts above on each side of the Sling. Loosen these bolts and push the valance up and retighten the bolts.

Thanks! I will do what you guys suggest.

With no helper available, I always used a long 2x4 up under the sling & something to prop it on out in front of the sling - adjusting the resultant triangle to the desired height until I could tighten the bolts myself once the board was holding the mustache at the desired position.

A low profile jack (with padding) would also work

I use the low profile jack myself, you just have to be careful when you are using it.

Well that was easy! A five minute fix. If only my other project took only five minutes to finish!!

Good luck with that, been there and done that. I still have a 1935 Ford Tudor Flat Back, it just has not seen the sun since 2005.

I see I need to get some adhesive on my nose’s “A”! The other is a 1949 Willys Station Wagon. It is originally from Colorado but now lives in Nova Scotia.

... or remove the P and S...
Everyone will be trying to figure out what kind of exotic an Olari might be.
