You don’t do many mods but I have some stroke with the engineer - bet he can make one that can hold a large black coffee - got your attention now??
Is that 3D printed and if so what material did you use?
Installed roll hoop speakers (minus hook-up at stereo. Removed the dash assembly for receiver install.
Don't forget .... you MUST have parts left over or you did not do it correctly!
Speakers look great. I'm probably going to run Amp wires from radio in just in case I want to install o e down the road. I very rarely listen to the radio.

Hah! As a jet engine mechanic that was never allowed! But now I'm retired and forgetful. I'll work on it! Sounds like fun!
Don't know if you got your Amp yet. I'll stop

I really should install an amp as now would be the time, but for the most part looking for phone and navigation. A small upgrade on sound would be nice. It's all I'm looking for.

Looks like a good choice! Where are you thinking of mounting it? I went 5 channel as I knew I'd want a sub as well - these got pricey last few months, used to be able to get them for right around $200 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B9KHHI2 Fits under driver's seat, just ground down one mounting tabs Added bluetooth receiver after failing to get ride command head unit to sound right. Should of did this up front, as I never listen to radio anyway, still get ride command gauge info etc..
I wasn't thinking of adding an Amp but I may change my mind.

Just start with some extra fasteners and then you'll be good to go! Since you're retired, there shouldn't be anyone to find out you had a few extra screws to start with!
After my, probably too many, posts, I finally purchased my last $$$ mod for my audio system. I bought the Boss head unit along with the soceshie wire harness. Been conversing with Frankie55 since he purchased the same. Installed the harness but that was the easy part. How To find the speaker wires and tap into them was the delema. So I searched for a solution and think I found it. Just purchased the Clarion XC2510 amp. So, I'm hoping I can connect this to the Boss via rca jacks then run the speaker wires, and maybe subwoofer, from the amp. I'm not a wiring guy so this will be interesting. I'll keep you all posted. But this is not going to happen soon. Unfortunately, I will probably want to upgrade/add speakers down the road.
Installed the radio harness completed the connections to the pin connector. Ran the front and rear speaker wiring and completed the connections to the pin connector. Waiting on a remote fuse relocation wire to continue.
I'm in the process of installing a new radio. Strange, I don't see any antenna jack to plug into the back of the receiver? Maybe that's why my reception has always been so bad
hmmm, I haven't looked for it yet. Maybe plugged into old radio?
getting ready for Saturday - - - nothing big, just a few little things from DDM
Coil cover, GM exhaust heat shield and Hood latch reinforcement brackets - - - - - - I know its nothing super special, but sometimes I enjoy the little things
figured if I was going to get a coil cover I should go with the DDM - just to make sure the red is the same as my coolant tank and master cylinder brace and oil cap
not as snazzy as the DDM stainless shield, but heck at only $25 what the heck
and these - well, not even sure if they will help that much, but worth a try hopefully will improve the latching action so I wont have to go push on the corners of the hood as much
Also have a red DDM gas cap coming that should be here next Monday and then that should be the end of my cosmetic mods
with my full retirement coming at the end of this year I figured now was a good time to get the frivolous "just because" mods out of the way before discretionary fun money turns into traveling money
oh and before you ask why I am waiting until Saturday - well I just drove the Slingshot home from work and its way to hot to be messing under the hood - same thing for tomorrow and Friday, so Saturday it is
Once again German engineering at its finest - I gotta have one !!
Gatta have some
on it...
