Looks like it's fixed
But it has been so much fun turning them 90° and having them standing on there heads....

When did EJ take his sling to Australia?
Trying to get to that 100,000 mile mark before the end of the year....going to be close.
Just removed ecu will ship tomorrow. Getting ready for ss delivery. I can do allot of prep before it arrives.
Shipped ecu by ups ground with return shipping label plus insurance, $67.40. It is going from Maine to California and back. So I guess it could be worse.

Just a heads up - I have had a few friends who worked for UPS and have been told several times that with UPS shipping insurance they will not cover breakage unless you either let them inspect the packing before you seal the box or have them pack the box for you - - if you do not do one of these things the insurance will only cover loss - - - any claim for something getting broken will be denied on the grounds is was not packed properly
that aside $67 seems very high, If I think I would have USPS and gone with a medium flat rate at $15.05 flat rate boxes include tracking and 1 to 3 day delivery. They include $50 of insurance and I am sure more can be added. These days I use flat rate boxes for anything that will fit - they seem to be much much less expensive than Fed-X or UPS
anyway - - just thought you should know about the insurance - - most people seem to be unaware of the packing inspection and approval requirements for it to cover breakage or impact damage
Went to usps first. They did not pkg so went to ups. I assume usps would not have been much cheaper after adding 900 insurance both ways. In fact the rep at usps knew nothing about adding a return label and prepaying return shipping which odb requires.

sounds good - and I agree that often times the people at the post office seem a bit lacking in their knowledge of what can or can not do - - - many times I have seen them need to talk to supervisors just to do tasks that should be very easy
One of the things I like about the flat rate boxes is that so long as you dont need additional services they dont require USPS workers with a brain - -
Anyway I am looking forward to seeing updates on this journey of yours. Please post lots of pictures
Spent 15 minutes to remove the front bumper. I would have kept going but wife did not want me to be in the garage for hours. So I will just do alittle at a time until the ss kit arrives. Ratech, I took pics in portrait but all loaded in landscape.

Eric make sure all of the bolts/screws that hold the front wing together are there and tight, just check while you have it off. I would put some Blue loc tite or the 567 lock tite on them.
will do, good suggestion thx

Been there and done that, I just had to pull the front wing off of Sling II, one was loose and the other was totally gone. I had the same problem on Sling I and did the Loc tite thing on it years ago. It just might save you problems later.
Just removed the injen cai. All of 10 minutes. I have to remove the radiator heat shield I installed and the lower shroud then that's as far as I can go until the kit arrives. I'll be putting the sling on the quick jack and removing the wheels to check out the brakes. May try to deglaze the pads. Right front squeals and I've been spraying on brake anti squeal but that only lasts about 1,000 miles.
Thought I'd spend 1/2 hour removing the radiator heat shroud. I installed it in 2016 and forgot what a F'n bitch it was. It came off harder and took 2 hours. I was too tired and sore to bolt the frame back on. That's for another day. I had to remove 2 radiator hoses which I did not have to do when I put it on. Go figure! Lost fluid but with 78k on the clock. I'll just change it out. The saga continues.
Starting to get anxious for the kit to arrive. Read the install instructions several times and asked a few questions to ddm. They are very responsive! I have a few more questions but will wait until I get into the install. If there is no ice/snow on the road in January, I will be trying it out.
My only reservations at this point when I ordered the supercharger, i ordered red metallic. I love the gloss red so I hope I am not disappointed.
