gonna put hood pins on my 2016 SL suggestions or you tube installation vids?
hood pins

I haven't installed mine yet, and i've seen no video of it, so make us the first one
I was hoping to find someone at MV this past spring to install them for me, but no luck. I'm not brave enough to cut my own hood.

Did you get buttons from Phil? If so his instructions are spot on. Just measure three times and cut once. I did mine using his instructions and worked out perfect.
If you got them elsewhere, sorry can’t help you.
On the other hand no guts no glory, you sound mechanical inclined so just do it.
JUST SAYIN

LOL, thanks Boomer, and yes, I have Phil's kit, but after reading through the instructions, I'll pay someone that has done it. I'm quite mechanically included, but don't have a good track record with cutting things, even after measuring thrice

Phil's kit works even better when Phil installs them.
-
Sure, but Phil is busy with paying work

Installing a couple sets today. I'm not setup to video though.

I installed a Slingshotonly set back in early 2017 when they were Cycle Springs. The mounting is not as sturdy or elegant as Phils but they have worked well with no cracks or problems. Noel had done a video on them back then and it was a simple install. Of course, the main issue is building up the nerve to drill 2 large holes in your hood. When I did them I had one hole dead on but the other was a bit off and it wouldn't click in place. Some minor bending on the receiver bolt realigned it fairly easily.

Thanks for the info and yes drilling that hole is a mindbender

just watch the show bird box and go for it. Only the first hole hurts after that its only plastic and can be replaced

Well, I am still waiting to hear a good reason for risking drilling these holes in one's hood?

Oh... Than ask Bigdog ...he's a huge fan of these... Best mod to help alleviate fender fla....

Try adjusting the hood latches and bumpers correctly.

Yep. Hundreds of installs for no reason. And it's not a risk. I've never heard of anyone replacing their hood for improperly drilled holes. I could add several reasons but it would be a waste of my time.

That's the reason I haven't drilled on mine, because I'd be the first!
However, with my odd front end, paint not being 100%, I may be better off buying a new hood, or at least replacing the parts that are messed up
