So - I noticed this today - in both seats.
Seems I cannot screw them back in - as the nut seems to have pulled out of something inside the seats?
Any suggestions?

Funinthesun has experience with that IIRC...
Crap design. The screws thread into extended plastic nipples. The nipples break out of the panel. Warranty will fix but you get the same seat with same stupid crap.
Sorry.
Just another reason to go aftermarket.
Kind of what I expected to hear.
Thanks folks!!
yes I found the same thing the dealership that we got it from ask me why I was taking the seat. I said i was not i found it like that it is out of warranty if you like it fix buy a new back seat. So it is on order

Check, I do think that there was a "recall" on the seats with that problem.
if there is he did not care did not do a thing for me just told me go to the part counter and order one

Not sure which years had problems but some did. ... Do a little checking.

I had screws coming out of passenger back, Polaris covered under extended warranty, knew it was a problem. Dealer said they had many customers report it.
Sent from my SM-G935V using Polaris Slingshot Forum mobile app
This, like most fastener problems on the Slingshot was probably caused when whoever assembled the seat over-tightened the screw, snapping the plastic fitting. Doing this process with a a power tool seems to be more likely to result in over-tightening than if a screwdriver is used.
Of the 2 sets of seats I've had, only 1 or 2 of these plastic nuts were broken and my seats have seemed firmly attached to the seat frames. I've thought about possible fixes and, IMO, the easiest solution would be to use a flat strip of metal spanning the damaged plastic, held in place with double-sided foam tape the length of the metal strip and then using a sheet metal screw thru the seat frame into a properly centered hole in the metal strip, being careful to tighten the sheet metal screw threads snugly w/o over-tightening and stripping the hole. Metal strips could be added as needed near the other seat mounting points using double-sided foam tape if the seat needs any shimming for an even fit.
I attached a simple pic to hopefully provide a visualization of the proposed fix.
