Sure is hard to find dogs for sale locally. Don't want to buy from puppy mill. Any suggestions?
I just went to Petfinder around my area. I am sure your area has this as well...

please take into consideration a rescue dog. All ours have been rescue dogs and my last one - money over the fence - dog back over the fence.🙂

This is my latest shelter rescue Hannah. She's been with us for over a year. I like to refer to her as my "owner". She was twice returned, my guess for being energetic. Her and my middle pup are pretty good play pals. Sure she has chewed up some of my stuff but the way she looks at me and greets me makes it more than worth it. I joke with my wife that when this dog dies, I die... and I'm not entirely sure I'm joking.
During that first year we could tell she had seen abuse, some sudden movements led her to flinch, thankfully today she seems to have some idea of how much she means to her pappa.
One of the best feelings in the world is rescuing a dog and then bonding with it. You have made the dog's life and your life better with a single act of kindness.

Beautiful story, it mirrors our Bailey. Were so glad he has the opportunity to provide us with a happy life!

One thing I thought of over the weekend...
If it's been a long time since you had a dog, or never had one, consider adopting a senior. The great thing about a senior is they have less f*cks to give. They tend to be calmer and more "settled in". Just happy to be petted on occasion, a yard to poop in and food in their bowl.
It's a less stressful and easier way to introduce a dog into your home.

You might have a point there - I think my next dog should represent me and our outlooks meld …..
For a short while i actually looked into putting a remote switch by the bed..
Freyja & Odin
After getting a call from the breeder (couple of hunting guys near Vail who do a liter every year) that he needed me to pick up "Ruger" early, he's now home. He's a Weimaraner / lab mix. He was supposed to be a Christmas present for the wife, but oh well. The wife is super happy we have a puppy again and I'm happy Bandit (our English setter) will have a hunting partner and retrieving backup in the field. Even the 16yr old was pretty excited when he got home from work!
Zoe is a 11 year old lab/roth Best lab I have ever had out of many.
That is one cute pup.
This is what it has come down to. Mayorkas, Harris, Biden. What a total schit show and yet the media defends this crap over and over.
I put the sad face on the last post.... Guess they don't so who did the 'sad'....
My wife went away for the week to visit the granddaughter at her school. Our dog Baily couldn't go so I stayed home. I made this delicious thanksgiving dinner. I had chicken, baked beans, mac & cheese, green beans and buttered bread. Bailey watched on with great anticipation. I made him a special treat small portions of chicken, turkey hot dog, a bacon strip and cheese chunks. No vegetables, he doesn't like vegetables
My two pocket dogs, They are Morkies. Named Bruin and Fenway.
