hi guys, new here. I am installing a centerpost on a 2018 SLR. The new Ride Command head Unit has no screws on the face like past models. Any of you removed the face plate so I can access bolt holes on the dash yet. I dont want to crack it.

figured it out. Got to unsnap the the top 2 trim panels up with plastic removal tool which exposes 2 small torx screws.

Glad you figured that out - thanks for posting it as this may help another Slinger down the road. After all, it’s all about SlingshotINFO(.com)...

I will share some pics later on showing the torx scews which allow the front metal trim piece to be removed, then allowing head unit to slip right out.

I have been searching for directions for over 2 hours now. i have the 2021 r. This should be such an easy install but how do you get inside of the ride command so that you can bolt the thing down?

On the 2020+ Slingshots, you need to completely remove the dash to get to the backside of the ride command. I just did it 2 weeks ago to add some things to my dash. Best way is to remove both mirror posts, a couple of 40 torx in front of those, unscrew the small torx screws from underside holding the painted corner panels on the side of the dash, and a couple of screws on the underside of them above the side fenders. Theres a couple of 40 torx (I think) between the dash and hood in front of the windshield that need to be removed. There's also 1 pop-in on the underside of the dash on each side of the center console. You don't have to remove the windshield to take off the dash, unless you want to make sure it doesn't get scratched.
