@MiM what color did you get?
Uh... Raw? Silver? Aluminum? Something shiny to hopefully match some other accents. If I have doubts, maybe I'll have it painted green to match.

Ahhhhhhhh it's like Christmas this month. Lots of red accessories and now to sit back and let the bank account replenish. I think I'm almost done with mods but at the same time I have a few pieces in mind as well.

When I got mine, I said I only want the Corbin Bags and I'm just going to drive it and have fun! No mods, run it stock and have fun with it. I couldn't have been more wrong! Sold the bags after a few months (junk IMO) and have spent more modding this than I ever have any Harley I've ever owned! No regrets either (other than the Corbin bags)!
Some would argue that they lose value too quickly. Other would say there are issues with them on recalls and reliability. Matters not to me. I've put 25,790 miles on mine, and other than recalls it has served me VERY well! Likely is worth 1/2 what I gave for it with tax now, but I'm still modding it the way I want to. The next miles are the cheap ones, and it actually runs and drives much better than it did new. If I use it another 60-80,000 miles, will it be worth nothing? Even if it was worth nothing at all at that time, it has been a bargain. We are having so much fun with it, and have made so many great friendships.... some things you just can't put a dollar amount on.....

And once again @Goats_Hogs you have described the essence of Slingshot ownership. This is the only 'new' vehicle I've bought in my entire life, other than a Kubota tractor which is a tool - my excuse for not discussing it with my wife. Resale value, total depreciation and cost of ownership definitely was not part of the decision making process. Badass looks, open cockpit, car engine I can actually work on, 5 speed, pretty darn fast and look at that red!, all were. Then I found out the bonus is meeting folks like you and enjoying a common bond. I would have paid extra for that!

Tell me about it!
Short term? Probably going to get the @slingmods rear shock cover...
Long term? Sell jris and get something else or powder coat the springs... Either way the goal is silver, black, or green springs.

Thanks @SlingLow it arrived yesterday ahead of schedule, again can't say enough thanks for helping us protect our rear ends!
@MiM those wheels have definitely grown on me, specially like the fact that they have more sidewall(tires) than the stock.
What size are your wheels and tires, I know their brand and model but not the details , so if you would be so kind please.

I have 18x9s in the front and a 20x10.5 in the rear @Neosolidus...
Fronts are 245 45s and rear is 315 35
For the fronts, the next time I'll be going with 255s or wider...
Hope that helps! Think the wheels look real nice in silver too (old picture attached)...

But they sure look great on a faster red vehicle(slingshot)
I thought you had a 19 in the back, I am trying to find a combination so i can run either an 18 or 19 in the back so i can run a higher sidewall tire, I read the whole tire thread but seems everyone is running the small sidewall wide tires.

Not everyone. @MACAWS is running taller tires, more sidewall. Mitch, care to weigh in?
