  • I agree - I just wish that the good things LEO do were publicized as much as the bad. I guess the good things don’t create the narrative the media wants to convey 😩

I am not sure if you do things like FB, but there are good LEO stories all the time on there... some bad ones too... but I see more good than bad... Most of the bad stories I see are from msm like Yahoo, Msn, and crap like that... They very seldom do the good stuff.

When the going gets tough.... Downshift.

I think if Facebook was used for what it was created - it was a good thing. It has morphed into a giant left wing political machine IMO - so nope I don’t do it !!

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

Actually, FB has both left and right... scroll is always your friend as nothing is required reading or viewing.

My point was that there is a bunch of good stuff about LEO's on there that I never see on MSM.... :)

Since Zuckerberg admitted to colluding with the FBI to kill the Hunter Biden story to not foul Joe Biden’s chance at defeating Trump - it’s like the FBI - when the head of the snake is corrupt the best course of action is beheading the same !! It’s not the rank and file with the FBI - Facebook may just be rotten to the core !!

The guy is a scape goat to divert attention away from the absolute corruption of the FBI and DOJ (in general). The position to cover up for democrats will be assigned to anyone the Biden DOJ deems as "expendable".

Make no mistake, this changes nothing and it's sole purpose is to make it look like the FBI is concerned about internal bias. Hunter Biden won't be investigated, Paul Pelosi will still engage in insider trading and there will always be 10% for the big guy.

As is usually the case nowadays... the headline grabbing and use of words like colluding are all some hear to form a decision.

I am certainly not going to defend FB, Twitter or any other site including Truth Social. If you look at Truth Social you will see that their terms of service are more restrictive than all other Social Media Platforms and they block content as much as any other site. But, as Paul Harvey would say, now for the rest of the story.

FB had been accused by the same media and the Congress of promoting misinformation to the extent that they have "suppressed" not killed any stories, twitter actually blocked all that information. The stories you mentioned were moved way down on the feed so as not to attract attention per the request by the FBI that there would be a great deal of misinformation regarding the laptop. Those stories were still on the News feed as it is called as I remember reading them... They were certainly on all of the military sites on FB that I go to and several other sites that will allow that type of information. In most cases the individual sites block content more than FB does. Example.. I am on a Marine Corps site that has a bunch of pics of ladies and such and they are always covered so no nudity is allowed. I posted a pic of a lady covering her upper portion with her gloves (bottom had cutoff shorts on) sitting on a motorcycle and with a helmet on flipping the bird. It was declined by the group as not meeting FB community standards when the picture came from a motorcycle group on FB and there was no such message. So clearly the post was blocked by the group and not FB even through with that declination everyone said FB sucks, they are Nazi's and so on... Another example of how the algorithms work... a friend posted that they were using biometric time clocks at work and I commented that that would sure put an end to punching in for another person.... Instantly FB blocked the post and sent me as message that my post violated community standards (the word punched is what triggered he algorithm) but they give you an avenue to appeal. I appealed and within 5 minuets to their credit they responded that it did not violate standards and they reposed the comment.

Zuck admitted to suppressing the story due to it being misinformation at the request of the FBI. This is the fault of the Government and not a private business. FB was and may still be the largest social media provider in the world and there are a bunch of things allowed here that are blocked in other countries and vise versa. I would be willing to say that virtually every business in this country if approached by the FBI to suppress information until a certain date would comply with that request. Personally I believe it was more than a request... but that is just me.

Personally I think it was pretty revealing of Zuck to come out on a show like Rogan and tell the world that yes FB did suppress information at the request of the FBI with the FBI telling them that Russian misinformation was about to be released on the social media site. I think that this is all on the FBI and shows that even they are no longer immune to political pressure.

    I know.. TLDR

When the going gets tough.... Downshift.

Good old "damage control" and let it leak to show something is being "done". The whole agency is compromised, that order came from way above that FBI agent and he was always destined to take the fall

  • Growing up I thought of the FBI as superheros! Today I don't. This is not to say the majority of the rank and file is corrupt but it's not to say otherwise. As shown through Struck & Page, and all this info coming out about the laptop and failure to go after Hillary. When an institution becomes that corrupt lower-level employee's can get a feel of the atmosphere. Words and directions aren't necessary. If you want to get promoted you follow that atmosphere. I believe that is now the case withing most government organizations.

  • Just thinking here... if the college degree "you" got isn't working well enough for YOU to pay it off ... then it certainly isn't worth it for me to pay it off - I have paid for 4 - that's enough for me.

Face it, we now live in a world where a huge percentage of the population is being taught that it is the job of responsible people to pay for their unwillingness to take responsibility for their own actions

agree - loans for education should be based on the ability of the degree being pursued to produce the income needed to repay the loan.

  • As a side note you have to ask "what does loan forgiveness teach" - - We have a large number of people who took out loans, accepted the money, and then spent it in a way that has not enabled them to repay the money. So now we are going to "teach" these people that their bad choices were okay because it will be forgiven anyway.

So now we send these people out into the financial world thinking their choices dont really matter because they won't be held responsible.

Will these be the same people who get credit cards tied to their homes equity and then expect forgiveness when their home is being foreclosed on???

learning from ones mistakes is how we grow and learn and now we are taking this lesson away from these people and some how expect them to not repeat the same mistakes.?? - - - That's not how life works!

As a side note its the same thing they are trying to do with our history - hide it and whitewash it and pretend it was different - - - and then act surprised when future generations make the same mistakes

Well it also depends. I paid 150k for my degree but I made sure it was a degree I was going to make the same or more per year. Its all about doing proper research and educating people on career expectations and actual opportunities of that path.

  • I think it depends on the persons grit and tenacity plus an aptitude for the chosen degree. I know a lawyer with a degree that couldn’t pass the bar —- he has one of the biggest car dealerships in SW Louisiana - go figure :00008172:

  • ok guys im a huge supporter of law enforcement and I do believe most are just doing their jobs. However, stuff like this cannot be allowed to happen and the officers not only need to be fired but get assault charges as well. We as reasonable individuals have to accept that there are indeed few instances where cops deserve all the heat they get, this is one of them.

agree, they are POS's that need to be charged, fired and certification revoked and tracked so they cannot get another law enforcement job. Apparently, the clues are there that they should have lost their jobs a while ago. I'm not buying that the other officer was just following orders. He should have questioned why
