    My perfectly healthy 42 year old nephew got covid took a total of 10 days to kill him - - he got it from someone else - everyone who gets it gets it from someone else there is a study out there where they estimate that every person who gets it infects 2.5 to 3 other people - - if you carry that out ten different levels that means you have the potential to indirectly infect 59,000 other people and if you are asymptomatic you probabally won't know your doing it

    The most effective cloths masks are made of multiple layers of tightly woven fabric like cotton. A mask with layers will stop more droplets from getting through your mask or escaping from it.

    As a note I do wear a mask as a courtesy in situations I think warrant a mask or if someone else around me on a personal level is uncomfortable. It shows' you care, a good thing. I'm not against that but it's correct to also realize there is a responsibility of others to realize they have the option to mitigate their own personal risk as they feel they need to do and in the vast majority they have the capability to control their environment.

    the Covid virus is only one micro in size.....right on the box of N95 masks it clearly states it will not protect you from Covid......the reason is the holes in between the cloth fibers is about 5 micros in size......so Covid can go both ways with those masks....it can fly out through the mask or fly in through the mask. No paper or cloth mask will stop you from getting or giving Covid.


    the only real mask protection from Covid is a hazmat positive air pressure suit. The virus was designed to be small for that reason....the average person doesn’t have access to hazmat equipment.

    One of our Legends here on this forum nearly died from the VID a month ago. He was vaccinated with Moderna. If I had been with him a few days before, I would have contracted the VID myself. Point being, we can't say in a blanket statement that unvaccinated people can kill others or themselves.

    Now back to the Legend..........

    He is thankful he got the vaccine, even though the VID crawled up his ass. He believes it would have killed him had he not been vaccinated.

    I'm glad he finds comfort in that, but I'm not sure the science is out there that supports his belief.

    However, I hope he is right.

    So who's right and who's wrong..........

    I don't know, and I don't believe the experts do as well.

    I still think it should be left up to us individually to make a choice about being vaccinated.

    And yes, I am not vaccinated.

    I can't get it if I choose to until November.

    I can usually understand BOTH sides of an issue or a debate. I may not agree to the reasoning given by the "other side" but can see why they are trying to hold firm to that goal. But this is a total cluster fuck in by book. You are going to order all US businesses that do business with the federal government as well as all private businesses with over 100 employees to be fully vaccinated or submit to weekly covid testing in order to get Biden's number of vaccinated people higher. How does this make ANY sense when you have OVER 1 MIILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS (sorry, I forgot they are now called undocumented DEMOCRATIC VOTERS) who entered this country and have over 30% of them REFUSE to take the Covid vaccine? It doesn't take too much intelligence to simple say to them that they have the right to deny taking the vaccine as well as us having the right to say GET THE FUCK OUT.

    I think the thing that bugs me most is the feeling I get that a huge percentage of the people refusing to be vaccinated in this country are doing so because of politics.


    I work with a lady at work who absolutely refuses to get vaccinated and listening to her never ending / constantly changing reasons it is undeniable that even when she won't admit it its all political.


    Back when this thing all started she was the first person I know who ran out to get her antibodies tested, her father has many health issues and she wanted to be sure it was safe to be around him. Following that she had nothing but praise for Trump and his push to get a vaccine out as fast as possible, talked about how sad she thought it was that the media at that time was saying it might be too fast, she felt this was being done to hurt Trumps election chances. At the time anyone who knew this person would have bet money she would have been one of the first in line to get this vaccine she clearly felt Trump should be praised for.


    Then the election happened


    As we all know Trump did not get to return for another 4 years, and my friend and co worker for the last 35 years almost instantly turned around 180 degrees - now all of a sudden the industry she was hopeful with Trumps help was going to help put an end to this couldn't be trusted, suddenly they all became shills of a new President who she firmly believes got elected by fraud. Now the vaccine she couldn't wait for was something experimental and she would not be a lab rat for Biden and extreme left, she even said "not until it gets full approval" then she said she would get it, now of course that Pfizer has gotten approval her tune has once again changed and now she still won't bend to, constantly coming up with new excuses - - This woman is a preachers daughter, considers herself a strong christian and also devoutly listens to Glen Beck and conservative talk radio all day at work - and if you talk to her today she will tell you this is all some kind of anti freedom, anti God, evil plot that is being controlled by at best the same people she believes rigged the election or at worst the devil himself and its all designed to turn us into minions with no voice who blindly serve our new master


    This lady has always been a strong conservative and as the daughter of a pastor has always considers herself a strong Christian - hell she won't even use Apple Pay because of the fear such kinds of electronic id could be the mark of the beast - - so her basic views are the same as they have been for a very long time


    the only thing thing that changed that caused her views to suddenly change like this was the election she was 100% convinced Trump had a lock on didn't go her way - - that and the constant supply of politically based conspiracy theories she listens to every day for 8 hours at work


    this makes me sad - - she is afraid of giving up control yet that is exactly what she has done - she is letting politically and financially motivated talk show people tell her what to do, and the very people she said were great when she thought they were helping Tump are now in league with the devil himself and she will have nothing to do with it


    As a side note - I also find it interesting that my coworker who seems to think Glen Beck is some great procrastinator of all things truth - forgets that not that long ago he totally supported Mitt Romney in the primary for the Obama election and basically did so only because Romney is a fellow Mormon, I think she also forgets how in the days before Trump became president Beck often times bashed Trump and was very against the idea of a Trump presidency - - - like most entertainers Beck is in it to make money and what he preaches is done mostly just to make him richer and just so long as he continues his proper tithing to the Mormon church he remains in good standing - - - I also find it funny as hell that this good christian follows and loves a political talk person who is a member in great standing of a Church that in the past she said was a cult.

    You just leave that poor lady alone. I would stand beside her (well, six feet to either side) and adamantly fight for her right to NOT get the shot. I would even give her my dog's supply of Ivermectin.

    Wife and are out for a nice Saturday drive today. Right now stopped for lunch at the Soboba Hotel and casino for lunch. Before we headed out we stopped at Walgreens and both got our flu shots.
