Production Status - MeanSling Sport Top

  • All back orders packed and shipping tomorrow. Currently have 4 pending orders for the Sport Top on file.

At this time I can build and ship 5 more tops for the second production run. Get them while you can.

Lead times are getting better so possible only a two week delay for the third production run.

  • Damn.... Just spent my allowance on a paint job, which I love and is amazing! Thank you Jim! Because I know I SAVED A TON OF MONEY ON IT... But I don't think my wife will go for the argument of: "Well technically honey, if I had painted this locally, it would have cost $6-7k and if Rev Dynamics painted it, it would have cost $20k... So technically I think I can afford this top now with the money I saved by switching to Geico... ^^ "

  • OK guys,
We are getting orders in now and looks like we will be sold out by tomorrow morning.

I'll do a full inventory and let you guys now how many are lift if anyone else is interested. Will be placing restocking orders this week. Hope to have the turn around time down to about 2-3 weeks this next go around.

  • Does anyone remember the Green Lantern with the trailer from Maggie Valley? Well he will be sporting a MeanSling Sport top very soon.

Also it appears the dual lift system is more popular than I had expected.... All good problems to have...

    Thank you everyone!

  • Ok - finally gettin around to posting about @Ruptured Duck s lift assist and brackets to raise it up. @Slingrazor actually did the install but I believe my mechanically challenged ass could have done it. I am 6'4" and have Corbin seats that sit up pretty high. With a LOT of adjustability you can see @Ruptured Duck s engineering skills shine. It raised up the front improving field of view greatly if you are tall. Plenty head room and very stable at high speed. I went with the 2 30 lb lift assists (little OCD kicking in) but the one 60 lb lift works just as good. Overall I could not be happier with my new Mean Sling top. If you get one I can't see any negatives and believe you will love it !!!

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • Mines all but on as I have the frame and am doing finishing alignment. The front is a little low for me but will see once I get canvas on.
Double bubble will need some trimming, anyone know how much to start with .5 inch or more ?
Course I could jest get rid of the double bubble as dont like it that much anyway and was only for wife LOL.

  • Ok mines on and sitting in the 100+ garage, Damm Im getting old as this heat kills me, 30 min install took hour and a half as needed breaks, and beers :whistling::saint:
And thats cooler than in the drive LOL
Yerp need the assists for sure as double bubble needs trimming and gravity makes it so you have to hold with one hand (or the wind)
View is a little lower than I would like but will see after test drive once top stretches a little for better grip on velcro.
Head room seems good with Big head helmet on .
Is it sad Im in the garage going vroom vroom with a helmet on ?
Heck might not need the dark visor now.
Tops still wrinkled so will let it sit in the sun for a bit , may take a pic soon

  • Oh and RDuck my A bar clamps that the front knobs hold on are about 2.25 inches from end not the 1.5 inches in directions, wonder if my cab is that much shorter ?
Variance seem to be a lot on these toys of ours or I missed somethign in adjustments
